April is Stress Awareness Month. It's important for us to manage our stress, not only in the workplace, but throughout our daily lives. Gifting yourself a few quiet moments to meditate during the day can help to reduce your stress level. There are many apps available, such as Calm, Headspace, and even YouTube, that offer short and sweet guided mediations. If formal meditation isn't your style, simply taking a few conscious deep breaths can help calm your nervous system and refocus your mind.

Moving your body throughout the day, such as taking a brief walk or doing some stretches, benefits both your physical and mental health. Plus, in doing so, you're gifting yourself a little break in your screen time. The significant amount of time that many of us spend fixated on screens throughout our day can be mentally draining. Taking a few moments away from screens allows us to recharge. Tending to your body and mind also includes staying hydrated and eating nourishing foods, as dehydration and excessive sugar intake can exacerbate symptoms of stress.
