Full disclosure: this is my first starter. I know, I know! But I was always scared off by the chemistry of it. That being said... the first attempt failed. However, born from the ashes of my mistakes and shame, I present to you my 2nd and 3rd (nearly simultaneous) attempts!
Happy to say, they are being well-fed and bubbling beautifully so stay tuned for a new addition to the bread season here!

Made some amazing, fluffy-as-heck pancakes today using some fresh duck eggs from an equally amazing (but not fluffy) friend, .eudaily ❤️
New logo is up! This was a project, coming from someone who has never really outsourced creative work before. Additionally, the kids got to input on their "beans". Whew!

So consider this my "formal" introduction. We'll run down the basics:
🍞 Who? Myself and my dashing family
🍞 What? A new project, Mama Bean & Co. Serving fresh, baked goods, preserves, and gift baskets, locally, with lots of events to come.
🍞 Where? New York
🍞 When? Well...now!
🍞 Why? This is a long explanation but let's just leave it at that I had an idea that I'm fleshing out with the support and assistance of my family.
Right now, at the infant stages of this project, there are many learning curves to tackle so anyone who is ready to grow with us...welcome! ❤️

Last weekend was all about taking in the sun and bread, bread, bread!
Soft, white loves: Good for delicate sandwiches and toast.
Round artisan loaf: Good for hearty sandwiches, dipping in soups or stews, and charcuterie boards.
(That tiny loaf was the creation of my 1 year old. Kneading skills: advanced 😂)
