I wanted to make a celebration post about fluffy, furry Turbo dog who turned 10 a few weeks ago while I am in Maui for my Yoga Teacher Training certification. He has been at Dairy Dell Boarding & Training in Petaluma for the first time. He’s never been in a boarding facility before. The few first few pics here in this post are from DDell Those of you who know me, know that turbo has been my constant companion & travel buddy, particularly these last seven years since Scott left us. Turbo has been by my side, supporting me, challenging me, loving me & making me laugh. He really has been an emotional support dog and he’s made me a better person. He’s the first dog (since I lost my childhood dog Shandy tragically when I was 13) that I have really bonded with. It’s been such a special relationship and I know that I’m biased, but he truly is a magical creature! ✨ Turbo brings so much joy to people wherever we go -he is a magnet for positivity and gentleness. And although he doesn’t get along with all male dogs, which has been a big challenge, overall he really is the biggest love. They say people’s personalities match their dogs. I would agree with that with Turbo. He is incredibly independent, stubborn, wild, sweet and generous with his love. I’d like to believe that I have similar qualities. I can’t imagine my life without him these past seven years. He has been with us through it all! I’m so glad that he has an opportunity now to get the boarding experience & professional training with experts to bring him to the next level of freedom! 🙌🏼🐾🐾. It will be my job to continue the training that Dairydell has integrated for him. I’m excited to pick him up next Wednesday to hug him and thank him again for being such an amazing companion to me!💜🙏🏼⭕️❌

This is the North Shore in Paia Maui, where I’ve been since last Friday with Sharayah. We are here doing a 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training. This has been a goal and dream of mine for many years. 🦋 I wanted to let folks know that we are safe where we are in Paia. 🙏🏼 Having been through devastating Napa Valley fires, it is heartbreaking to see what’s happened to Old Town Lahaina. 💔 I shared an IG story, which has information on how you can support the recovery efforts for the fire victims in Lahaina, and in upcountry Maui. ✨💜

I birthed this beautiful human named Sharayah 25 years ago on August 5th! It was a peaceful birth & she was a peaceful baby, full of light who brought such joy into our lives! Rayah is one of my greatest loves & teachers in this lifetime. I am honored to be her mom. I am amazed at the capacities & wisdom she brings to the table of our special relationship. She literally is the daughter of my dreams. It is roses, thorns, stems & roots that binds us together in this dance called life. Happiest 25th Bday to you lovies!💖 Let’s keep breathing, dancing, crying, laughing & loving each other fiercely! I will go to the ends of the earth for you sweet girl. 🌈💜✨🦋

Birthday reflections today for Scott. This was the last bday party I threw for him at our home. I always enjoyed making his bday cake. He would tell me what kind he wanted. Here I am throwing him a birthday party with family and friends. It was always important for me to do this for him as he wasn’t keen on making a big “to do” on his birthday. I’m so glad we had these memories with family and friends that night to celebrate the incredible man he was! ***deawareness ❤️

Today this beautiful human came into the world! My darling daughter Sharayah is 24 today. I am so thrilled to be her mother and watch with joy as her story unfolds. I love & admire the woman she’s become. She has incredible talent, depth of soul & is so compassionate & kind. Happy Birthday Rayray!! 🌈❌⭕️❤️ .monroe

This is my Nana Koueta Ocheltree who transitioned over at 99 years of age. What a life she lived! This photo captures the essence of the vibrant & stylish woman she was. She died peacefully at home surrounded by family. I was the 3rd grandchild born to her & the one she lovingly referred to as “miss independent. She definitely understood my spirited personality because she was very similar. She taught me about gardening, cooking, design & personal style. She was a role model to me as a confident, determined woman who knew her value. I admired her strength, her beauty & her creativity. She was an amazing singer & I’m so glad that in April the last thing we did together was sing. It’s incredible that with her hearing loss, she still sang perfectly on key! 🎶❤️😍 🌈💫

The Religious right clearly doesn’t understand Christ’s message of eternal life. If there is no death, then the aborted fetuses never die, they return to “ heaven”. It’s only life energy returning to source. Major hole in their fixated dogma around opposition to abortion.

It’s been 4 years since Scott’s death and most days it’s still hard to believe he’s gone. Turbo misses him still. When he sees a white diesel truck, he stands at attention. I swear he’s looking for his daddy. Many of these pics are from Hawaii, which always held a special place in his heart. The others are of his beloved family. We scattered his ashes in Kauai back in 2019 in a ceremonial manner. Death by su***de is brutal on the loved ones left to pick up the pieces and move forward. It’s frustrating, heartbreaking and sometimes I still get angry. I’ve always had compassion for the physical pain & anguish he was in, but it doesn’t lesson my pain. I love him so…❤️ Let’s break the stigma of depression by talking about it and having those hard conversations. ***deprevention A big Aloha to you on the other side Scotty 🌈💫
