Today’s the day! I’m hitting the road soon for .en.fleur at 🥰🌸 This time last year I was just returning from Italy where took these captures and made us all feel like we belonged on Vogue! . .
Being tucked away in Lake Como with an intimate group was the best experience. Flower talk flowed endlessly & being fully removed from work life back in the States encouraged us to be present with ourselves and dream deeply about where we each wanted to take our floral journey next. . .
I can’t wait to meet our New Cuyama retreat group soon! Our .en.fleur flower family continues to grow and I love the sweet community we’ve built. I think a reunion across all retreats needs to happen soon! 💓🌸

On-scene (& a few behind-the-scenes) moments from Tara & Colin’s dreamy wedding which felt so much like a styled shoot. The tables dripped with wine grapes & petite seckel pears while soft grasses & Queen Anne’s lace danced in river rock inspired vessels. This was such a dream to create & I even got to use homegrown flowers for this one 🫶🏽 . .

Breezed through Sept so quickly I didn’t even realize yesterday was the last of it! In September, I spent more time in Santa Barbara than ever before since leaving 10 years ago. It was the best treat & I would do it over and over again if I could. Back in Sonoma, any free moments were consumed in the garden - nursing cosmos and zinnias, and oohing over visiting pollinators and baby watermelon which grew by day. Miss Tuli & Mom were there for every adventure as always. It was a wonderful month 😌🧡🌼

Who here remembers our OG floral apparel line?! There’s always a personal tie-in with where .en.fleur retreats are hosted. New Cuyama is the home of , where all of our retail apparel & business swag gets produced in small batches. . .
Students at our upcoming retreat will also have an exciting opportunity to partake in a hands-on screen printing workshop themselves! We’ll take a break between business courses to meander over to , meet their team, & see where all the magic happens. . .

Seasons of .en.fleur 🌸 Can’t believe our 6th floral intensive is already around the corner 💓 This October, we’ll kick off our retreat with a full day business course where no questions are off the table! We’ll discuss the many revenue streams within floristry, pricing your work at minimum industry standards, floral recipes and production schedules, & much more! On our second full day of learning we’ll transition into design work - creating a beautiful tablescape and stunning foam-free installation in a greenhouse. . .

So we got through our biggest wedding production of the year and you might be wondering what’s next in my world. The last few years have been transformative in the best ways, but scaling has also given me the opportunity to evaluate what’s most optimal in my career. Sometimes being an entrepreneur feels like a never-ending game you’ve set up with yourself - one that requires you to constantly shift and pivot in order to reach an end goal that is also constantly evolving. If you’ve been there, you know it’s easy to get down on yourself in the process. But a philosophy I’ve come to recognize & embrace is that a healthy business should actually often be pivoting.

So this summer, I’m making a big change in my life. At the end of July, I’ll be closing my brick-and-mortar .camino and re-invigorating the lifestyle brand as an online-only business. Opening a storefront amidst a pandemic was a challenge I’ll always be grateful for. We had 3 incredible years with where we fostered a lifelong network of small business friends & customers. I’ve learned so much and was able to test out concepts for retail floristry that I can now share and teach about in .en.fleur courses. We’ve made many beautiful memories not only in one, but two locations & had the joy of putting on many unique events while welcoming the community into our space daily.

The origin of the name Camino comes from its meaning in Spanish: path. My vision for the company has always been to honor human connectivity & the many ways in which our paths intersect in one lifetime. I’ve always cherished the idea of our products passing through many loving hands by the time they reach our customer, whether it be the artisan that created it or our team who packaged it with care. The word path is symbolic in many ways, and to everyone who’s been a part of our pathway, thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Now looping back to what’s next.. This isn’t the end of .camino & there’s plenty still in motion at and .en.fleur. While I’m out of space here, stay tuned for upcoming posts 🧡 Our .camino team looks forward to seeing you all in our last days downtown 🫶🏽

June came & went in a flash. We flowered with every color, made forward progress with the cooler shed, survived many a dump runs, had our biggest wedding production of the year, and tucked away in between I savored little moments of peace 🧡

Springtime mems 🌸 Set down permanent roots, flowered alongside my favorite people, built a walk-in (still in progress 🤪), recorded a podcast, & much more. Life moves quickly when you’re an entrepreneur and there are many times where I desperately want it to slow down. I know that season will come for me later this year, so for now I’m embracing the chaos, trucking ahead full speed, and finding quiet moments in between when I can. Welcome to my floral world 🙃🌸

Swipe for some precious memories of my mom’s floral designs from the early 80’s. She had a season in life where she learned floristry for fun. As a child, I was always in awe looking through these photos but never once imaged a life in flowers. It’s so sweet to think about her visiting the in the good old days and how the market now feels like a second home to me too 💕🌸 . .

In 2016 I was delusional enough to think I could live a life of flowers with zero professional floristry experience 🤪😍🌸 Well I delusioned so hard that somehow I actually made it happen 🤷🏻‍♀️ Fast forward and I’m now in my 9th year of business, living the exact life I’ve dreamed of (with many lessons and pivots along the way of course!) . .
The moral of the story is that a dream is just a dream without action. I’m always dreaming 5 steps ahead and adjusting my business model as I go.
