Performances of “The Real Housewives of Napa Valley” tonight (Sat June 1) and tomorrow (Sun June 2) are sold out. You’re welcome to come to the theatre and stand by to see if any seats open up. Curtain time is 7:30 tonight and 2pm tomorrow.

Rehearsals will begin approx on October 20, 2024. Typical rehearsal schedule is Mon-Thurs evenings and Sat and Sun during the day when needed.

Lucky Penny is an all volunteer organization. Daily travel and meal reimbursements provided.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:
The roles of Fagin, Nancy, Bill Sykes and Mrs. Sowerberry have been cast. All other roles available.

Oliver Twist. Male, 9 – 12 years old, any ethnicity. A workhouse boy in the orphanage. Vocal Range: Boy Soprano, A3 – F5.

The Artful Dodger – Male, 14 – 18, any ethnicity. Should be no more than 5’9”. Fagin’s brightest pupil. Vocal range: Soprano A #3 - F5.

Bet – Female, teen-aged, any ethnicity. A 15 year old girl in Fagin's establishment, who idolizes Nancy. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Mezzo-Soprano G #3-G5.

Mr. Bumble – Male, 35 – 60, any ethnicity. A large and pompous Beadle of the workhouse. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Bari-tenor Bb3-A4.

Mrs. Corney – Female, 40 – 55, any ethnicity. A sharp-tongued, domineering widow. The Workhouse Mistress. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Soprano B2 - G5.

Mr. Brownlow – Male, 55 – 70, any ethnicity. An old gentleman of wealth and breeding. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Open.

Mr. Sowerberry – Male, 45 – 60, any ethnicity. The undertaker. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Baritone C2 - Db4.

Charlotte – Female, 18 – early 20s, any ethnicity. The Sowerberry’s “amorous” daughter. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Open.

Noah Claypole – Male, 18 – 25, any ethnicity. Mr. Sowerberry’s pimply apprentice. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Open.

Mr. Grimwig – Male, 35 – 50, any ethnicity. A Doctor. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Open.

Mrs. Bedwin – Female, 45 – 60, any ethnicity. The Brownlow’s housekeeper. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Mezzo soprano.

Old Sally – Female, 50 – 70, any ethnicity. A pauper. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Open.

Charley Bates – Male, 10 to a small 18, any ethnicity. A boy in Fagin’s establishment. Will double in the ensemble. Vocal range: Boy soprano.

Ensemble – Boys and girls (9 – 12 years old), and men & women of all ages to play workhouse boys, workhouse assistants, bow street-runners, street vendors and crowd, etc.

Lucky Penny will premiere 'The Real Housewives of Napa Valley' NAPA — Lucky Penny presents another new and original musical comedy, "The Real Housewives of Napa Valley," opening May 31 for a three-weekend run.

Lucky Penny presents another new and original musical comedy – “The Real Housewives of Napa Valley” – opening Friday, May 31st for a three-weekend run at the Lucky Penny Community Arts Center.

“You could call this an ‘on-demand’ musical” said Artistic Director Taylor Bartolucci. “After the popularity of ‘A Napa Valley Christmas Carol’ and ‘Saving Santa’ I asked Rob Broadhurst and Barry Martin to write a Real Housewives parody, and here it is. If our audiences have as much fun as we’re having putting this show together, it’s going to be a great time at Lucky Penny.”

“The Real Housewives of Napa Valley” features an all-star cast with some of Lucky Penny’s most popular performers as the five wives – Taylor Bartolucci as Monica, Daniela Innocenti Beem as Michaela, Heather Buck as Joni, Sarah Lundstrom as Alicia, and Kirstin Pieschke as Shawndra. Mark and Julianne Bradbury, last seen in “The Great American Trailer Park Musical,” play Producers Mark and Jules and a host of other characters, along with Olivia Macloud as the Assistant Producer and other characters. Stage Direction is by Barry Martin, Musical Direction is by Rob Broadhurst, with Choreography by Staci Arriaga, Costuming and Properties by Taylor Bartolucci, Lighting by April George, and Scenic Design by Barry Martin.

Performances are at 7:30pm Thursday-Friday-Saturday and 2:00pm Sunday from May 31st through June 16th at the Lucky Penny Community Arts Center, 1758 Industrial Way in Napa. Thursday performances are Pay-What-You-Can if seats are available at curtain time. Groups of 10 or more receive a 10% discount – email [email protected] to arrange a group purchase. Max Geide is Jim O'Connor

Max is thrilled to be stepping back onto the Lucky Penny stage in one of his favorite shows. You may have last seen him in this season's production of "Almost, Maine." He is eternally grateful to Barry and Taylor for creating such a wonderful environment in Lucky Penny for actors to play. Off-stage, Max feels a deep sense of gratitude towards his husband, Alex Gomez, for his companionship, which have been instrumental in his journey. He also wishes to express his appreciation to his parents, Carol and Greg, for their unwavering love, and extends a heartfelt thanks to Lena, Aaron, Monica, Curtis, along with his nieces, nephew, and his broader circle of family and friends for their continuous support. Special appreciation to Robb and Marc, whose advice has been crucial in molding the path to the life I aim to create.

About the Show:
No play in the modern theater captured the imagination and heart of the American public as did Tennessee Williams's "The Glass Menagerie" in 1944. The Wingfield family lives in a dingy, cramped apartment in St. Louis. Amanda Wingfield, her frustrated son Tom, and fragile daughter Laura inhabit a world where a visit from a gentleman caller seems to offer the only hope of redemption not just for Laura but for the whole family. This great play is mid-century American literature at its best.
