It is important to remember during these difficult times that children still need a continuous, consistent schedule to release the stress that they may be feeling, as well as prepare them for upcoming season. We will continue to upload and share training sessions until they are officially back to club activities.
Thanks for being apart of this experience and hope your player is able to feel a shared sense of community through their participation!

If you have a partner end with 1v1 using the 3 skills we worked on.
Imporatant things to remember.
1. Using your skill is not to impress people but rather to do 1 key thing.
You use your skill to move the ball from 1 lane to another lane around the defender. By doing thing you give yourself the ability to create TIME & SPACE. Doing this gives you the ability to Pass, Dribble or shoot.

**Follow up from Email sent to IFA League Coaches**
Hi Coaches,
Heather and I hope you, your families and players are all doing well. During these uncertain times, it is vital that we listen and follow the advice of those who understand this disease. Like you, we are concerned about protecting health and safety during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. We will be halting participation in all league games for the rest of the winter season.
We will be working with all clubs who have participated in the Winter League Session 2 to make up the remaining scheduled league games in the coming months once things have settled.
We will be in touch soon regarding make up games and other announcements.
Kind regards,
Matt and Heather Ales

**LEAGUE UPDATE**
Community Commons Facility Closure.
Due to ongoing concerns surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), all weekend activities at the Sportsplex (IFA League) and Event Center have been cancelled effective 10:00pm this evening through Monday evening at 10:00pm.
This decision will be re-evaluated on Monday for activity on the schedule for next week.
**League Announcement**
IFA continues to monitor Federal and Local announcements regarding COVID-19.
As of now our league play is scheduled but we will follow Naperville and Plainfield School Districts announcements regarding opening/closure.
We will update as we hear more.
**League Announcement**
Due to concerns surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, and other health authorities, IFA is implementing some new, mandatory health and safety procedures as part of a proactive approach to preventing the spread of germs.
IFA leagues are adopting these new measures effective immediately. We cannot stress enough how vital it is that all IFA participants adhere to these guidelines.
“No-Contact/No-Handshake” Policy
IFA is immediately instituting a precautionary “no-contact, no-handshake policy” to be observed at every level of the organization until further notice. This includes all physical contact and extends to customary game-related activities, such as pre-game coaches’ handshakes, umpire-coach introductions, and post-game handshakes between members of opposing teams. Instead, staff, players and coaches should use verbal queues, such as saying “good game,” without shaking hands, high-fiving or fist-bumping.
Maintain Good Hygiene Practices
All IFA employees, and participants in IFA events should be aware of the coronavirus risk and take the necessary precautions to avoid exposure to germs. This includes maintaining good hygiene practices. We strongly recommend the following:
-Wash your hands often, using soap and water for at least 20 seconds each time. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol; this is suggested after any physical contact with another person or with a shared surface.
-Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth with unwashed hands
-Cover your mouth and nose – with a tissue, if possible – when coughing or sneezing, then properly discard the tissue in the trash
Avoid close contact with anyone else who is coughing or sneezing or who is otherwise sick
Clean or disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces
Advice from the CDC
The Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) has a specific Q&A regarding the virus in children:
Q: Are children more susceptible to the virus that causes COVID-19 compared with the general population and how can infection be prevented?
A: No, there is no evidence that children are more susceptible...
