A sailor embarking single-handed on a 32' boat from Hawaii to Washington found himself in rough conditions with few communication abilities and gave us a call.
We ended up keeping in touch for the remainder of the trip, and he had to this to say when he arrived safely to Anacortes:
"I found [the forecasters] all to be very professional, diligent, accurate and reassuring...[their] routing recommendations made the last portions of my passage safer and faster. It's a great service you provide that benefits the seasoned and novice passage maker alike."

Unlike Colin, Cristobal is expected to move northward towards the US Gulf Coast. For regular updates on tropical weather, sign up today for our tropical outlook subscription.
