With limited resources, Nashua’s Feed The Kids gets it done with their summertime meals program » Nashua Ink Link Summer is a time of fun, vacations, and freedom from classrooms for kids. For many of Nashua's children, it can also be a time of hunger and greater food insecurity. When school cafeterias close, kids miss meals.

Thank you Plan NH for recognizing the Nashua Soup Kitchen and Shelter with this Merit Award of Excellence.

The Plan NH Merit Award winners represent outstanding projects that incorporate good planning, design, and/or development and have had a positive impact on their respective communities.

We are proud to have completed our 35 Spring Street emergency shelter project in partnership with Warren Street Architects and Bonnette, Page & Stone. With the completion of this project, over 70 people have emergency shelter each night, and 11 people have moved into permanent supportive housing.

Great design for an essential community need!

Wow! These are the donations we received today from Zachary Bertoluccini, a young man from Hudson. Zachary collected the donations as part of his Senior Capstone Project. They include (among many other items) 487 pairs of socks, 743 toothbrushes, 386 tubes of toothpaste, 77 containers of dental floss, and 23 bars of soap, as well as bodywash, hygiene wipes and 6 ponchos!

Zachary was inspired by a project he did with his church -- St. Mark’s in Londonderry, NH -- making hygiene kits for the homeless.

We are thrilled to receive such a great donation, and we wish Zachary well in his first year at UNH, where he is majoring in neuroscience.

NH Gives 24-hour prize period is over, but we wanted to thank everyone by re-showing a NH Gives classic video. This was created by Trystan Jordan two years ago, when he was seven or eight. He raised $165.00 in cash for NSKS!

And if it moves you, you CAN still give to NSKS for NH Gives. The donation portal stays open through the end of Friday, June 14th.
