Cancer Sucks Indeed.
My former colleague, Doug Cope, legendary anchor/reporter at
WBZ NewsRadio, died this week from a brief bout with cancer. He was one of the good ones: Funny, considerate, and just a SOLID newsman.

There's something to be said about the bond we newsers/former newsers have. I received separate phone calls from old co-workers reaching out to make sure I knew the news before it was announced and reported Each time I answered, "How are you holding up?"

My deepest condolences to Doug's entire family (thank you for sharing him with us), news family, and friends.

We're entering a season where things could be hard for people to handle.

Whatever the situation, please know that you are never alone if you need to talk. Call someone.

Two people I know committed su***de recently within weeks of each other, and I've spent some time reflecting on how we can better support our village.

In 2017 the Avery Building in Wolfeboro could have been torn down and replaced by a big box retail store. Today, it’s home to PAVILION, a restaurant dedicated to elevating the farm-to-table dining experience in New Hampshire's Lakes Region. My latest for New Hampshire Magazine
