Cancer Sucks Indeed.
My former colleague, Doug Cope, legendary anchor/reporter at
WBZ NewsRadio, died this week from a brief bout with cancer. He was one of the good ones: Funny, considerate, and just a SOLID newsman.
There's something to be said about the bond we newsers/former newsers have. I received separate phone calls from old co-workers reaching out to make sure I knew the news before it was announced and reported Each time I answered, "How are you holding up?"
My deepest condolences to Doug's entire family (thank you for sharing him with us), news family, and friends.
