I am back from my road trip and I am so excited to get back to work!!
It was so nice to take a step back from our everyday life and enjoy 2 weeks of adventures and family time.

The next 3 months of 2024 are very exciting for me and my business! I can’t wait to show you guys what I have been working on for the past year. I’ll be launching my new business name and the direction I’ll be taking my business at the end of this month. (Facials are not going anywhere I’m just bringing on more than just skincare)
I should be finishing up school by Christmas and can’t wait to step foot into my functional nutritionist career path!

After tomorrow (Friday) I will be out of the office until October 15th. If you need any products or gift certificates please let me know by 2:00 tomorrow.

I will still be taking messages while I’m out of town so if you need to cancel/reschedule an appointment or would like to make an appointment please don’t hesitate to message me. It might take me 24-48 hours to respond as we will be with no service 80% of the time.

It means more to me than you know that my career allows me to take 2 weeks to spend with my family. I can’t wait to tell you guys all about my road trip when I get back! 💙🏔💚

I thought I would share some pretty big milestones I hit last month!

The last 5 years as an esthetician has been nothing but amazing. I knew when I started esthetics school that owning my own business was my top goal. Boy was I wild starting Skin By Lin in the middle of crazy 2020 but I’m so glad I did. Moving my business closer to home last year was also a big move but I love the extra time I have to take on more clients or spend with my little guy.

Next month is super exciting I’m saying goodbye to Skin By Lin and launching my rebrand of my business, my online booking system and website!
Skin By Lin was great but this next chapter is going to be even better!

I just want to update my clients and give a huge thank you for being understanding while I have had to take care of my sick little guy this week.
After a hospital visit and a couple breathing treatments we are back home and doing much better. It’s not easy having to cancel on clients last minute but it makes it so much less difficult when everyone has been so understanding. This tired mom thanks you from the bottom of my heart. Hopefully next week is a better week 🥲💜

Just wanted to share an update on how school has been going 😌✨

Going back to school to become a functional nutritionist has been great I love learning how to naturally care for the body mentally and physically. I have already learned so much and I can’t wait to share some information soon on ways to better your lifestyle and diet.
My plan was to be done with school by mid fall but I decided to take a month and a half off because life happens and sometimes you can’t juggle everything at once. When I decided to go back to school I knew I wanted a program that was work at your own pace incase things got in the way and I had to take a break. I knew that when life started getting stressful I had to put something on the back burner and thankfully school was the best choice for me. Now that things are less stressful I can hit the ground running and focus on school again! I might not be able to launch my wellness business as soon as I would like but it will definitely make its appearance in early 2025!

I can’t wait to launch this new chapter in my career. So many things will be changing for my business in the next 6 months. From a complete business makeover to a website and online booking I’m giving Skin By Lin the ultimate upgrade!

I couldn’t make this happen without my amazing clientele. Thank you to all of my clients for the love and support I can’t believe Skin By Lin will be 4 years old next month!

Hearing people say “I have to burn first and then I’ll tan the rest of the year” is like nails on a chalk board to me. 😅 That’s like telling someone to drink alcohol everyday because it builds up your tolerance to getting drunk….
That works but it’s not good for you 🫠🙃

The more you get burnt every year the higher chance you have of getting skin cancer. 🔥

Another thing is that you don’t need SPF 100 you will be just fine with SPF 30-50. The number does not mean how long it will last it means the coverage and there’s not much of a difference between 30 and 50. Once you get over 50 your sunscreen will start becoming filled with chemicals that harm your body more than it does good for you.

The ingredients you want to see on the “active” list on the back of your sunscreen is zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

The month of May was hands down the busiest and most rewarding month I have had in my whole career. Thank you to every single mom, teacher, and nurse who treated themselves to my specials this past month. I couldn’t run a successful business without you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me get this far in my business.
I checked so many goals off of my list this past month and I am truly so grateful!

I have been wanting to offer facial parties for over 3 years now and I finally took the leap to make it happen! 3 weeks ago I had so much fun spending the evening with 6 close friends while they hung out, drank wine, had a tarot card reader, and received 30 minute facials. I am now taking inquiries of who would be interested in this service. Prices vary on age and number of people.
