Attention all who follow this page โบ๏ธ I will be deleting my page because I have decided to start using my regular fb account to post the kinds of things I post here. Most of you are friends with me on that page already but it is Hayley Mundall. I will delete it tomorrow, Friday. Thanks for the support! ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
In yogic tradition, we learn that just like thoughts, emotions come and go. They are not you and do not define you. As Sadhguru has said, the difference between a creature and a being is that a creature just reacts to everything(like emotion and the physical) while a being is knows how to be. Just be! You don't have to have a reaction to everything, that is you letting the mind and body control you but don't you want to be the one in control of your thoughts and actions? If you feel the storm of negative emotion about to take over, stop and take 6 long deep breaths, then wait 10 minutes for it to leave. Just like a storm cloud comes and goes, so do emotions. Namaste everyone!

Hey my yogis! Time to slow down for a second and check your breathing ๐งโโ๏ธ Are you breathing quickly and shallow? Slow and deep? Your breathing can reveal your state of mind in the moment. If you find you are stressed or overwhelmed, take a second to take a few deep, slow breaths in. It can change the way you think! Have a fantastic day! Namaste! ๐๐

You must go inside the place in yourself you've been avoiding to find true meaning and love for your life. You can only love others to the extent that you are capable of loving yourself. โค๏ธ Be gentle with you, be understanding with yourself, and most importantly never give up on learning how to love yourself ๐๐งโโ๏ธ๐
Namaste friends!

Hi everyone! Life has been very busy so I took a little break but I'm back! Self reflection is important because the world you experience on the outside is a reflection of what is happening in your own mind. Will post more on this soon! Namaste! ๐๐

We can learn to observe our emotions rather than identify with what we are feeling. Rather than "I am sad"(stating that you are that emotion) how about "I am feeling sad"(stating that we feel something). It may seem minor but it creates a little distance between you and that emotion so you can think more clearly. Remember, you are NOT your thoughts or emotions.
A lesson in "Ego", the one you call "I" by our friend Alan Watts. May this help free you even more! Time you raise our consciousness levels ๐๐๐งโโ๏ธ
We must have a mind that has let go of the habit of being distracted and teach our mind to develop the habit of concentration โค๏ธ๐งโโ๏ธ๐
How do we calm the amount of thoughts going through our heads? If you haven't tried meditation before, see the picture below for some tips. I also recommend just closing your eyes and listening(without judgment) to the sounds around you.
Namaste!

I read this today from the book The Path to Tranquility...
"If you have fear of some pain or suffering, you should examine whether there is anything you can do about it. If you can, there is no need to worry about it; if you cannot do anything, then also there is no need to worry." - Dalai Lama
I like this. Also, if you are worrying, you probably are living in the past or future and there isn't happiness there...happiness can only be found in the present moment, so come, meet me there! Namaste! ๐๐งโโ๏ธ๐โบ๏ธ
When I ask you, "What is the first word that comes to mind when I say Advanced Yoga?" what do you think of? I have heard everything from "painful" to "becoming a pretzel" lol. Today I would like to inform you that Advanced yoga doesn't have to do with poses. Advanced yoga is more like "How much inner peace do you have?". It's about inner work rather than outer work. Meditation, philosophy, mind work in general, are all parts of it. I think yoga is very special because while it can keep you fit and flexible, it can also bring inner peace, confidence, and mental stability ๐๐ If you are interested and don't know where to start, I recommend learning the art of Meditation. Maybe I will post for on how to start meditating later ๐ฅฐ
Have a beautiful day! Namaste!

Yogic concept #9: Svadhyaya (Self-study)
Meditation is very important for this stage as drawing inward to see whats going on inside your mind and body shows you that your true essence (soul, highest self, etc) is neither. Here it is important to check in and see "are these beliefs my own or did I inhereit them from my parents/church/community?" "Am I holding onto any beliefs that are not serving me?" Other things to manage in this self study are things like perceptions that we have about the world around us, the people in our lives, and ourselves. When you are first starting this self study process you may find that your perceptions of the world may have been very off. Don't let this discourage you! That just means you are gaining more awareness of your situations and are a step closer to enlightenment ๐In yoga, svadhyaya usually means discovering that "breath of life" in you. The thing your soul is made of. To find it you must look past Ego(what you refer to yourself as when you say "I") into what you were before society influenced so much of your thinking. Your highest self, the REAL you. One of my favorite parts of yoga has been this self studying! May you be blessed today and see the light in yourself! Namaste!๐งโโ๏ธ

Law of Attraction Basics #2 : I want you to consider what the quote in the picture means for your life. You attract what you are. Your life is a reflection of your thoughts and feelings. It is not about HAVING things so you can DO things to finally BE something. Most people try to do it that way but nooo, you must BE first in order to DO more effortlessly so that you may HAVE. Think about who you want to be, if it is who you want to be, there is a good chance that THAT is who you actually are. So just start being it! What are you waiting for? Watch everything just start to work out for you! Like a person chasing after a relationship, If you chase after what you want from the universe, it will run the other way because it knows you want something from it but if you say "Nah universe! I don't need anything from you. I am happy, whole, and complete in myself", the universe will turn around and say "Hey wait! No! You are supposed to chase me! Here, take this and this and that! Notice me!"
Thats all I have for you today! I hope you don't just chase your dream, become it from the inside out. Namaste! โฎ๏ธ๐

Law of Attraction Basics #1...thoughts and feelings are directly linked together. Think negative life stuff = Attract negative life stuff....Think positive life stuff = Attract positive life stuff. But Hayley, how do I just stop thinking negatively? Everytime you start to get worked up over something, practice purposely thinking about things that bring you joy. Over time, your mind will start to create a habit of it. Yes, it is hard at first but can you imagine a life in which you feel joyful almost all the time? How nice and pleasant for you and everyone who comes in contact with you! Namaste friends! โฏ๏ธ๐

Life feels 10 times better when you switch your focus to what's going right in it!
I encourage this practice โค๏ธ
Peace should not be what you hope to work towards one day, it should be the bare minimum. Why? Because you can't really make clear good decisions for yourself or others if you are acting from a place of worry, panic, anxiety, etc which are all opposites of peace. Get the help you need, take the time off, say no to things that take away your peace. Really though, no one can take your peace away if you are solid as stone about being in a peaceful state (You CAN get there one day). If being at peace most of the time sounds crazy to you, then this message is for you. "But Hayley, I NEED to be worrying about such and such because this and that life thing..". Ok, ok..I hear you, but you BELIEVING you that you HAVE to worry is called anxiety and THAT is something that only hurts your ability to make good decisions. Your beliefs create your reality and I will keep reminding everyone of that. Be kind to yourselves everyone! The world will reflect back your view on it! Peace and Namaste! ๐

Yogic concept #8: Tapas (To Burn/Discipline)
Most people have heard the whole "a diamond is created through heat and presssure" spiel. This a similar concept. Tapas is the fire that burns within you, your inner passion. It is cultivating a sense of self-discipline, passion and courage in order to burn away โimpuritiesโ physically, mentally and emotionally so you can be your highest self. To put Tapas into practice by challenging yourself to do that hard pose in yoga, by "burning" those negative thoughts, by doing that which you are called to do no matter how impossible it might seem. Remember, our beliefs create our reality so that thing you really want to do or become, you CAN do it. You are the only one holding yourself back. Ask yourself today "What might I believe that could be standing in my way?" and burn that belief up. If it doesn't serve you, it could be hendering you. Hope to see your light shining bright! Namaste!

Yogic concept #7: Santosha (Contentment)
You start to find some real happiness in your life when you realize you do not need more. To change your life, ask yourself every morning, what are 3 things I am greatful for? We get so caught up in all the things we don't have but want so much that it has gotten to the point that many people are very dissatisfied with what they do have.
Here is a quote from the Bhagavad Gita about Santosha...
โ A man who is not disturbed by the persistent flow of desires like an ocean which is always not disturbed by the incessant flow of rivers alone attains peace and not the man who goes after the desires.โ Namaste friends!

Yogic concept #6: Saucha (Purity)
Saucha reminds us that it is not only important to clean your body and environment, but also the mind. When we feel clean, we feel more comfortable with ourselves, when we clean our environment we feel more productive and relaxed, but how does one clean the mind? You can start with your thoughts and what you expose yourself to everyday. Everything we do waters seeds. Are you watering worry, anger, toxic beliefs, etc? Or are you watering self love, understanding, inner strength, etc? You want to be happy in this life? Then why water things that bring the opposite? Time to start cleaning so you can be who you prefer to be, because in the end, that is who you really are.

Have a blessed day! Namaste!
