We're in our new location - early! We are now located at our new location at 2742 Old Lebanon Rd, Donelson, TN 37214 (in the old Donelson Taekwondo location). This is literally just up the street (Old Lebanon Rd, towards McNamara's). We are going to be closed for lunch everyday between 12:30 and 1:00 p.m. Come see us!

Our first day in our new location at 2742 Old Lebanon Rd, Donelson, TN 37214 (in the old Donelson Taekwondo location) will be Monday, May 1st. In the meantime, please continue coming to our current location. With all the changes in the Donelson area lately, we are proud to continue our very long tradition of serving the residents and business people of Donelson with the finest alteration services. Ericka's Tailoring would like to announce an upcoming move to a new location, just "around the corner" from the current location. The new address will be 2742 Old Lebanon Rd, Nashville, TN 37214, in the old Donelson Taekwondo location. This move will occur in early April, so please continue coming to the current location for now, and we'll give you a firm date as it approaches.

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours -
Ericka's Tailoring will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, and likely open from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. However, you are strongly encouraged to call first (615-885-9428) on Friday and Saturday as these hours may vary depending upon business volume.

Ericka's Tailoring first opened on Lebanon Rd. in Donelson in 1993 by Margie Rodriguez (Ericka is her daughter). Margie was born in the United States in Nogales, AZ, but moved to Mexico at the age of 2. She lived in Mexico as a child and started sewing at 14, returning to the U.S. at the age of 15 and opened her first alterations shop in San Jose, CA in 1980. After 13 years having her own alterations shop in California, she moved to Nashville and opened the shop here in Donelson. Ericka's Tailoring moved to Donelson Plaza in 2000, and remained at the same location until 2018, when the plaza was being remodeled. We are now at 2720 Old Lebanon Rd., Suite 101, in the small center next to Donelson Plaza. As a member of the local Donelson business community for over 29 years, and being a strong supporter of Donelson charities including police benevolent activities, McGavock H.S. sports, and local medical equipment sponsorship for needy patients, Ericka's Tailoring continues to be a strong force in the Donelson business community. With 58 years experience in alterations, Margie Rodriguez has survived problems in business encompassing everything from the recent pandemic, being forced to relocate amid remodeling chaos, and employee turnover - even including those sabotaging her reputation, stealing her customer list and calling them soliciting their business in an effort to start their own shop. Small businesses and alterations shops come and go, but Margie has been in Donselon for 34 years and is still in the shop, working as hard as possible to meet your alterations needs. She would happily welcome seeing her many longtime and loyal customers again as well as new clients who want to see the difference that 58 years of sewing experience can bring to their alterations results. The air conditioning is finally fixed (whew!) and Margie is back in the shop more - so take advantage of the brief break between prom season and full-on wedding season and bring in any clothes for summer that you have needing alterations!

Ericka's Tailoring had to shut down a little early yesterday due to road conditions possibly worsening, but are now back in the shop ready to serve our customers for all of their alterations needs. Come see us today!

Due to weather and road conditions, Ericka's Tailoring will be closed until Monday morning, January 10th.

Margie (the owner, Ericka is her daughter) wants to take this opportunity to wish everyone a Happy Holiday Season! Due to her recent illness and having to have been out of the shop recovering, there have been a few problems with a now ex-employee that were not noticed and remedied as soon as she would have liked. These problems have now been noticed and rectified by terminating that employee. The problems have included some sub-standard work getting out the door, not answering the phone, closing the shop early, and misinformation being given out. Please let Margie know if you have had any problems that she can rectify for you on recent alterations at no charge, and she extends her sincere apologies for the recent difficulties. Margie is feeling much better now and back to being in the shop, and there will be no more such problems going forward.
