We are entering into peak season for ticks—and tick transmitted diseases—in middle Tennessee. I pulled this lone star tick off my neck after a nature walk along J. Percy Priest Lake this afternoon. These ticks are known carriers of the bacteria causing Ehrlichiosis. Yikes! Some pictures today from moving and cutting trees at Craig and Sara’s house in Covington after the tornado yesterday. Got to see small town USA come together today. What a blessing! Will be heading back to Nashville tomorrow. Time to rest as the generators are all humming together tonight. I’m sure power will be down for many days as the crews are working hard to restore. Beth and I love many in this town and I know they would appreciate your prayers. Our family and friends are safe!
