Welcome to our Participant Spotlight! We wanted to highlight Gin Burwitz, who is running the Run Nash Full Marathon on the ACS DetermiNation team this year! She is currently the top fundraiser, coming in at $1,750+ raised towards the mission of ACS!

Gin is running for her dad, Dennis, who has been fighting Pancreatic Cancer for 2.5 years now. Gin told us it is a miracle since he has not been able to complete the traditional chemo or radiation treatment. He is benefiting from the “new” chemo drugs which has allowed him to live longer than most of his projections! When he heard she was running this race to help fight cancer, it made him extremely happy and has given them both something positive to focus on. Dennis also said, “he doesn't want this to ever happen to anyone else, and he knows the answer is going to be through research and all the wonderful things the American Cancer Society provides.”

Thank you, Gin, for helping us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
