Create an impact with Small World Yoga
Providing free yoga and mindfulness for our Nashville community is why we exist. We believe this life-saving practice is for everyone, and should not be hidden behind expensive, exclusionary studio prices. Just last month, our own Kristin Gore got to lead a meditation at the Out of Darkness Walk with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention-Tennessee Chapter.
Your continued support makes opportunities like this possible in the first place. Small World Yoga has a proven, real-world impact on our shared community, and we want to keep doing this meaningful service for years to come.
Giving Tuesday is tomorrow, a global giving movement, and we would love your participation. When you give to Small World Yoga, you help bring the transformative power of yoga to someone who might not otherwise have access to it.

Practice teaching begins day one!
We begin practice teaching on DAY ONE of our 200-hour teacher training program. Our intention is to create a supportive and open community right from the start in order to foster confidence in your teaching and yourself!
We're so excited that our next round of training begins this Saturday! There's still time to sign up. If you're on the fence, send us a message with questions. We’re happy to talk through any concerns and can even connect you with a recent graduate for additional support.
Hear from recent grad, Jordan!
Remember Jordan?! Here she is (with her beautiful baby girl) sharing a bit on the impact our yoga teacher training created for her.
“I was on the fence about leaving my job and teaching yoga full time. How could I give up a fat paycheck? However, after completion, I decided to do both. I am a dental hygienist part- time now, which allows me to teach yoga as well! My happiness (and sanity) are so much more important to me now than money.
"When I signed up for yoga teacher training, I did not expect my entire outlook on life to change, but that is what I’m most thankful for! I know my physical practice will ebb and flow with different seasons of life, but my spiritual and emotional priorities will not.
"I have so much more appreciation for the emotional healing capacity of yoga! I was the person who always got antsy during savasana, never able to slow my mind and just be. That was my biggest takeaway from training: just be here now.”
January 15 kicks off day one of teacher training! Send a message or visit smallworldyoga.org/teacher-training to learn more.
Let us introduce you to recent BPYN 200-hour teacher training graduate, Jordan Griffin! Here she shares some worries she had about the program and some of her reasons for making the commitment. “I was initially concerned about committing to yoga teacher training because I assumed I’d have to fly to Bali for three weeks!? Luckily I found Baptiste Power Yoga Nashville through Small World Yoga and realized I could do it on weekends. “However, at the time I was working 10- to 11-hour days during the week and was VERY concerned I’d get burned out. Little did I know it would be something I looked forward to every week, counting down the days to Saturday morning at 8 am. “I signed up for teacher training because yoga had helped with my physical healing of past injuries so much that I wanted to share that with others! “Going into the first day I was worried I’d be the only one not popping handstands or folding like a pretzel. Thankfully we all had a variety of skill levels and I never felt intimidated once!” Be on the lookout for another video from Jordan (and a sweet surprise) soon! This 200-hour training course begins on January 15, and we would love for you to join our crew. If you’re interested or have questions, send us a message or visit the link in our bio.
Our teacher training is about so much more than just getting certified. Students graduate with more confidence, a greater sense of purpose, and a stronger feeling of connection and community. And sometimes we do trust falls that look more like trust down dogs, just ‘cause. 🐶 Teacher training starts January 15! It's the heart of our teacher training--actually preparing you to stand in front of a group and teach!

Listen to a quick testimonial from Savanna about A Community Thrives, our fundraising challenge that ends in three days! We are aiming to raise $7,500 in support of our Community Studio relocation and expansion. Your impact is amplified through a generous donor willing to match funds raised up to $7,500. Once our goal is met, we are also eligible to win one of many generous community building grants from the Gannett Foundation. Help us get there by giving today at the link in our bio. #acommunitythrives #whyswy
