Independent and assisted living residents bid farewell 👋 to the Blakemore Room, which has served as the community’s event space since its construction in the 1970s. Residents and staff signed their goodbyes and well wishes on the walls of the building in preparation for its demolition to make way for a new two-story building that will offer more options for activity spaces. We are excited to share more details as we lay the groundwork for this addition! 😊

Ashley Corder, LPN!👋

Ashley joined our community last October and works with our assisted living residents on the weekends. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, her role includes distributing medications, but also listening to and advocating for residents! 🫶

Ashley’s favorite spot in Nashville is the Assembly Food Hall at Fifth + Broadway, and her ideal vacation spot is Destin, Florida.

Tomorrow, Abe’s Garden Community COO Chris Coelho will be the keynote speaker at Memory Cafe of the Red River Valley's Annual Community in Fargo, North Dakota. He will be sharing Hearthstone’s research-based, person-directed approach to caring for those experiencing the challenges of . If you are attending, say hi ~ Chris would be thrilled to meet you! 👋

Chris will lead three informational sessions covering a range of topics including how to apply knowledge of a person’s life story in daily care, practical verbal and skills, and redefining goals of engagement to best suit the individual. Hearthstone Lead Instructor Kristy Mellons will assist with role-playing exercises to demonstrate Hearthstone’s I’m Still Here® approach.
