Siloam Health
Siloam Health is a faith-based, nonprofit health care organization that cares for the underserved.
This week we are celebrating community health workers during National CHW Awareness Week!
Siloam's CHWs are at the forefront of health care by being health ambassadors in their communities - working to help fellow immigrants navigate health and social service systems, addressing the root causes of disease, and strengthening social capital.
We love CHWs!
"You shall treat the stranger who sojourns with you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God." -Leviticus 19:34

Finding a reliable primary care provider who accepted her insurance was a real challenge for Tigist Tilahun, a Siloam Health clinic support volunteer and Nashville native. The frustration and uncertainty of that experience gave her a sense of how much more difficult it must be for those without any insurance at all. She shares, “I'm convinced that Siloam's services are exactly what Nashville needs, and I hope that more people will discover and appreciate what Siloam brings to the community.”

“Love is a fruit in season at all times, and within reach of every hand.” - Mother Teresa

To celebrate Global Coptic Day, we honor our Coptic friends and the faithfulness and resilience of the Coptic Orthodox Church.
As Coptic Christians have fled persecution in Egypt, many settled in Nashville. In fact, Siloam Health has more patients from Egypt than any other country except for Mexico!
We are thankful for the many ways Siloam's Coptic patients, staff, and friends have enriched our lives through their faith, culture, and love for others. Happy Global Coptic Day!
