While I was getting ready to go out and play in the snow, I asked my Boomer grandfather to write a Facebook post letting everyone know we’re closed today for the weather. I was mostly kidding, but he did it anyway, so here’s an announcement from Pop.

Howdy folks,

Well, wouldn't you know it? The skies have opened up and laid down a blanket of snow as fluffy as the rice in our burritos. Now, I remember a time when a little snow wouldn't keep this old man from his daily mischief. But times have changed, and we reckon it's best to hunker down and let this winter wonderland settle.

So, Moe's Southwest Grill here in the heart of our beloved town will be closed today. Gather 'round the hearth, spin yarns, make a snow angel or two, and if you're feeling frisky, a snowman wearing a Moe's hat would sure make a fine sight!

Take a leaf out of my book from the good ol' days: sledding down the hill may be fun, but so is staying warm and safe with your kin. We'll be firing up the grill and rolling out your favorite burritos when the roads are clear and it's safe for all y'all to venture out again.

Until then, keep your socks dry and your spirits high!
