Nine years ago today, this good and faithful servant went home.

Please read these timeless words written by my son Taylor, a young man wise beyond his years:

This man helped raise me. This man fed me. This man took me to church. This man taught me how to pray. This man stayed married for 65 years. This man is a marine that served his country, kicked fear in the ass & never complained a lick about it. This man welcomed all comers into his home & into his restaurant. This man can make a conversation with anybody & always made sure they felt known & appreciated. This man loves his family with every ounce of energy that he's ever had. He told me so last night in the midst of his body failing on him. This man is my hero. This man loves Jesus. This man is seemingly very close to receiving & new body in Heaven, & I am comforted knowing that. This man doesn't want me to cry over him right now, but I just can't help but do so. I love him with all my heart & whether I live to be 87 years old or not, his impact on my life will never be duplicated. This man is ready for what's next. Pray with me if you don't mind that he will find himself in the arms of Jesus & hear these words from his savior: "well done my good & faithful servant" sooner rather than later. Pray for our sweet grandmother that will be left hear to mourn until they meet again in Heaven. // I love you, Big Daddy. Thank you, and well done. ~Taylor Jones

Sending a very special Happy Birthday to a very special woman and friend. She is the most selfless person I know, always concerned with family and friends needs before her own. Thank you for all you do for so many. You are very much loved.

Happy Mother’s Day to this amazing woman. She was a mother to my two boys and many more. We had a saying at the Dairy King, “We don’t hire you, we adopt you.” She was the glue. Love you.

Mom. In her happy place with the three of us and Big Daddy on the wall. Friends and neighbors would shower her with love daily. That's what kept her going. Love you. Miss you.
