REAL Martial Arts
Formerly known as Revolution Martial Fitness. Helping everyday people realize their full potential.
Sensei Paul Castagno started Revolution Martial Fitness over 16 years ago with the goal of revolutionizing the way martial arts is taught, and the role it plays in our world, while helping people to become more mentally and physically fit to take on life's challenges. Since then we have built an amazing community of positive, motivated, and hardworking staff, students, and families. We continue to
Questions to Ask Yourself if Your Child Wants to Stop an Activity.
1. Why, exactly, do they want to stop?
If they can't express it or aren't willing to, it's likely not something you should allow. Usually, when kids want to stop, it is in response to a present challenge that is extremely uncomfortable to face, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t.
2. If they do have a reason, is it something you (and their teachers/coaches) can work through together?
It is often more beneficial in the long run for them to overcome the challenge rather than stepping away from it. However, just telling them to "suck it up" is not always the best approach. Having support and guidance is crucial.
3. Do you feel it is valuable for them?
If you do, that consideration should weigh heavily. Kids do not have the foresight to know what is valuable for them long term. They might not always agree, but they will likely thank you later in life for not letting them quit.
4. If they were to stop, what would they replace it with?
Kids should never stop anything unless they are replacing it with something of equal or greater value (in your eyes, not theirs). They must understand that they cannot just avoid hard work and opportunities for growth.
Deciding whether to let your child quit an activity can be complex. It involves assessing their reasons, the value of the activity, and what comes next. Encourage dialogue about their feelings and challenges. Ultimately, guiding them through these decisions teaches valuable lessons about commitment, perseverance, and making informed choices.

One of the most important things you can learn to tap into is your warrior spirit. That ability to put your game face on, get focused and say to yourself "I got this!"
We want all of our students to be kind, respectful, confident, and compassionate leaders.
We also want them to be able to lay someone out if they ever need to protect themselves.
We are excited to announce the next evolution of the school. Just in case you missed our announcement email. You can click and read below.
Our Big Announcement! If you wouldn’t mind humoring me for a minute, I’d like to share with you a quick story. When I opened my school 18 years ago, it was under some pretty crazy circumstances. I won’t get into all of that, but the first couple of years were definitely…interesting. I had actually opened the scho...
It's gonna be REAL! 🔥🔥
If you had asked me (Sensei Paul here👋) what my mission for the school was, I could kind of tell you. Though I would probably drone on for 45 minutes while your eyes glaze over, smiling at me and wishing you never asked the question.
I didn't have a mission statement, I had a mission lecture.
Well.... after 18 freaking years, I (with the help of some great people) have clearly defined our mission statement as follows:
"We partner with real, everyday people to develop genuine confidence, strengthen their inner spirit, and unlock their true potential through real martial arts training."
Having massive clarity on what we do and who we do it for lights me AND my team up! Now we are CHARGING FORWARD with our passion, purpose, and differentiator well-defined.
What part of our Mission resonates most with you?
Congrats to everyone who just promoted!! Thanks for bringing the ENERGY and staying focused. See you all for class in your new belts soon!
We had a BLAST breaking boards last week during Summer Camp!
As always everyone was supportive, encouraging, and ready to step up to the challenge. Peep the comments section to watch the other instructors break their boards!!
A worthy read from the creator (Josh Conway) of our new fitness program (RevFit). He can help you cut through the BS and create a healthy mindset around fitness. I would love to hear your thoughts as well.
BTW, our RevFit program is fully online and remote. If you are interested in participating in this unique program just us know!
Fitness is a Funny Thing — Revolution Martial Fitness “Fitness” is a funny thing. It means something different to everyone, and different things at different stages of life. Fitness has been long tied to so many competing marketing messages--some healthy, some less so--that it’s hard to know what it means to be fit at all. Thankfully, RevFit Crea...

Why You and Your Kids Should Do Karate—It Fights Anxiety, Prevents Bullying and More For most people, the word karate conjures up images of martial arts flicks and Ralph Macchio’s famous tournament-winning Crane kick.
