Today’s adventure took me and my client to for stone selection, and we stumbled upon a piece of magic. 🌿✨ Nestled within the elegant veins of a marble slab was the unmistakable shape of a tree and a rose.
It’s moments like these that remind me of the enchanting artistry of nature.
How did it get there? A mystery, a miracle, a moment of divine art. God’s canvas is indeed vast and his creations, infinitely mesmerizing. This tree, formed with minerals in the stone, stands as a testament to the magical wonders that surround us, often hidden in plain sight.
I find myself very often using symbolism to guide my decisions and today was not different - Thank you God for the special clients you send my way ❤️❤️❤️
I can’t way to design my client’s kitchen and getting this beautiful tree where she will look everyday and be blessed by the heavens.

Not every natural stone is granite and not all soapstone is the same.

Soapstone possesses certain properties that make it less favorable for bacterial growth compared to other materials.

Non-Porous Surface: Soapstone has a dense and non-porous surface, meaning it does not have small pores or cracks where bacteria can easily reside or grow. This characteristic makes it difficult for bacteria to pe*****te

Heat Resistance: Soapstone has excellent heat resistance, allowing it to withstand high temperatures without damage. Heat can help kill bacteria and prevent their growth.

Chemical Inertness: Soapstone is chemically inert, which means it does not react with most substances. This characteristic makes it resistant to stains, and it is not affected by acids or alkaline materials. By resisting stains and not providing an environment conducive to bacterial growth, soapstone can minimize the chances of bacteria thriving on its surface.

Natural Composition: Soapstone is primarily composed of talc, which is a soft mineral. NATURAL - just the way we like it!!!!
Talc has been used for various medicinal and cosmetic purposes due to its perceived antibacterial and antifungal properties. While the exact mechanisms of these properties are not fully understood, some studies suggest that talc may interfere with bacterial cell membranes or inhibit bacterial enzyme activity.

It is important to note that even though soapstone has these properties, regular cleaning and hygiene practices are still necessary to maintain a clean and bacteria-free environment.

Hey everyone! Have you noticed how sometimes natural stone has a lot of movement? It's a beautiful phenomenon that occurs when minerals form patterns and textures within the stone, creating a unique and stunning visual effect.

But as a countertop material, working with stones that have movement can be quite challenging. It takes a skilled artisan (like me - your stone whisperer ☺️) to properly select and match the pieces, taking into consideration the flow of the patterns to create a cohesive design.

However, the end result is absolutely worth it! Seeing the movement of the stone come to life in your kitchen or bathroom is incredibly gratifying. Not to mention, natural stone is incredibly durable and long-lasting, making it a great investment for your home.
