Im starting off with all monochromes (variations of one color - my fav) for now n see where it goes.

So do you remember how we all saw the lady in red in my last spread? Well, someone commented below my YouTube video that they see a woman in a kimono on the left-hand side of the spread 😳🤩 I got all excited and went back and took another look.
I’m loving the element of surprise. Do you see the lady in the blue kimono? What do you see?

I think the series should be called. What do you see? 😅

I’m almost there 👌🏾😬 almost to the finished line of being resolved but not quite - I’ll know when I’m there. A very tricky stage to be because I don’t want to over work it 🤔

My former professors would say a piece of art is never really finished but it can be resolved- and I totally agree

In this fun mini painting I intended to paint abstract trees in a forest but now looking at it I see a tribe of warriors emerging from the tree line. Hmm 🤔- What do you see?

Mini painting inspired by my recent art journal pages of botanicals. There is something so freeing when working in my art journals that translates so well into my miniature paintings.

Ive been stuck on a larger paining for a few weeks now so I played in my journals and now on my minis.

Take that progression to increments of larger scaled paintings. There is a confidence and a lack of judgment that comes from working in your journals and working small first.

Finally got to paint in my art journal. Now that my membership doors are closed again I’m excited to return to a more relaxed pace, allowing for more studio time and art making. 🎨
I have an art journal with only painted backgrounds and anytime I’m ready I go in with drawing marking with anything I have at hand ( paint, collage, pens, paint pens, pastels, pencils charcoal) Here I went in with Mixed Media gel sticks that were gifted to me but a former student and friend. I never heard of them or used them before she gave them to me a couple years back. But wow they are amazing- very much like oil pastels but so much more buttery and smooth and vibrant - what fun. 🤩
