Congratulations to Lion Jamie Johnson, president of the Prospect Lions for 2025.

And thanks to DGE Lion Ray Jones for conducting the installation of officers, induction of our newest member, and the presentation of of serval awards. A busy night and again we thank him for his services.

A huge THANK YOU to all who attended the Prospect Lions Steak & Shrimp Dinner on Friday evening. We greatly appreciate the support of everyone who came out to enjoy the food, the fun and the fellowship!

The money raised at Prospect Lions' events like Steak & Shrimp always goes back to our communities: In the last year, with your help, the Prospect Lions have been able to support Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts in New Berlin, the local Historical Society, sock hops and the Picnic in the Park for people with special needs, a veteran's house project in Waukesha, Prospect Parkway pedestrian bridge restoration, and the Little Warriors Foundation fight against Ewing's Sarcoma, as well as local, state and international Lions projects and relief efforts. And the list goes on!

So THANK YOU from all those who have been touched by your generosity. We hope you'll continue to support our efforts: Mark your calendar for the Nov. 11th Wine & Beer Tasting evening to raise funds for the New Berlin Food Pantry, and the Spring Steak & Shrimp Dinner on April 26, 2024.

Once again the Prospect Lions had the honor of providing and serving lunch to the guests and their caregivers who took part in this year Picnic in the Park for Special People. Thank you to the Holy Apostles Parish in New Berlin for all the events they run each year for people with special needs.

Members of the Prospect Lions joined the fun and Hustled for S'More at the Lions Camp on Saturday. Perfect weather and trail improvements made for a quick 5K.

It is with a great feeling of loss that we share the sad news of the passing of Lion Jan Swain. Lion Jan was recognized at the club's installation dinner for his 45 years of service to Lions and to the Prospect Club. A fixture at every club meeting, project and event, Lion Jan also represented the Prospect Lions at District and State Conventions, Zone Meetings and projects of many other Lions' Clubs in the area. And he never missed an opportunity to expound on Lionism to anyone who would listen. A dedicated Prospect Lion, he will be missed.

We kept DGE Lion Tal busy at our Installation Dinner on Tuesday evening. Not only did he install a full slate of officers, but inducted two new members, and presented several awards. Thank you Lion Tal.

Because of you, we were able to present a check to the Special Needs Ministry from Holy Apostles Parish in New Berlin. That check was then match by Catholic Financial Life, doubling the support for this group's work in our community.

Less than 24 hours until the Prospect Lions get to fire up their new grill and start cooking the New York strips for their Steak and Shrimp Dinner. Serving begins at 4:30 and goes until 7:30 at the New Berlin VFW Post, 17980 W Beloit Rd, New Berlin.

Dinner includes grilled steak or boiled shrimp or a combo of both, along with potatoes, baked beans, a green salad, a dinner roll and coffee or milk. Desserts and other beverages available.

Only five days left before the Prospect Lions serve up their Steak and Shrimp Dinner. And this will be a SPECIAL dinner! Part of the profits from the dinner will go to the SPECIAL Needs Ministry at Holy Apostles Parish in New Berlin. The Prospect Lions have long been a supporter of this group's mission to provide events for people with special needs and their caregivers in the community.
