As the 2024 Sophie Felts Flower Freelance is currently underway I find myself reminiscing about my time there last year. Not only did I learn so much about the world of floral design, but I walked away feeling as though I had become part of a very special family. I am so thankful for the entire Floral Design team for providing such a comprehensive experience and for their continued support in my floral journey.

Today I find myself reflecting on the journey that my life has taken me. As a classically trained musician in college I would have never dreamed that I would someday be creating a different kind of art in the world of floral design. It has been an unexpected turn that has led to a world of beauty and community that continues to delight. I'm realizing what a privilege it has been to have lived and created amongst so many wonderfully talented people.

There is power in art, and those that create have the ability to ignite feelings of joy and wonder, healing and hope. I am so thankful for the gift of the arts in my life. Thank you for following my creative journey. I'm honored to share my story and song.
