Custom built heavy duty generator stand for a good friend. Plenty of room to make servicing the unit a breeze and room to secure the regulator and valve. Also, it's built to add skirting around the base for a clean look after install is completed.
Homeowner wanted to remove the bedroom window, to install a french door to their patio. Glad I could help with the transformation complete with custom Craftsman style crown molding trim for the interior. Customer also added a rolling screen to the door to have an amazing view of green space in the cooler months ahead.
Mini split trim, adding recessed lighting to a dark room, and interior trim for a dog door I previously installed.
Immaculate.....there's just no other word to do this patio ceiling job justice. Thank you Mr. Chapin for going with us to complete this project for you! I had some ideas to incorporate this beautiful blue as much as possible with minimal waste and the finished product is better than I imagined.
Mini split installation in garage. Customer wanted a climate controlled environment for training and excercise. The trim kit for the line set is next up to complete this install.
Out with the old and in with the new for this customer. New hot water heater with leak detection and automatic shut off valve, new water softening system with a bonus carbon tank that includes a manual valve to rinse filtered material to a drain, extra large whole house filter, and a reverse osmosis system (not pictured) under kitchen sink.
Welding and metal fabrication.....yeah we do that too. A hitch built to haul dual kayaks and a tongue extension for a sailboat trailer to be able to pull the boat up before a hurricane.
Another water softener and whole house filter installation done for a great customer. Complete with all bypass valves for each to service the unit and change filters without loosing water to the home. Drain of water softener tucked away and run through a void to access the laundry area drain safe and above a trapped drain to sewer. All exposed piping insulated and ready for freezing temps as well.
Removed damaged pvc and replaced it with pex on this filtration system and ran a service on this water heater to get rid of the rotten egg smell.
Another water softener and whole house filter install today. Added an outlet to to get the unit setup in the corner with the water heater and tucked the drain line under the trim for a clear shot to the laundry area. Drain line should always be installed above a p trap with no sewer gases or backups able to creep into the water supply in my opinion.
Crazy that a drainage line leak from dishwasher to garbage disposal exposed a bees nest. Glad I was able to catch this before any major rot issues for a customer. New dishwasher ordered and I'll be adding a few things to prevent any more leaks to go unnoticed.
Customer called and asked if I could give this area an appearance upgrade after another company installed this walk-in tub. They had taken out all the framing (studs) and glued waterproof lining to drywall that was hanging by 2 screws overhead on the top plate.....not to mention, they filled the void between the side wall and tub with 2 standing 2x4s and one across top that wasn't fastened to anything structural. They cut through weight bearing studs, pieced it all back together, and covered the foolishness with waterproof lining.
The company basically took advantage of some good people.
After removing all the f@ and mold, I framed in a new wall and bench for structure, gorgeous new tile, new drywall smoothed & blended, and new trim. All sealed and watertight. It's all ready for paint to be a great finished bathroom.
New deck stairs to start this deck repair.
Took out this rotted patio door to find the metal flashing job was done to actually let water in and stay in.....
Fixed the rotted framework and installed this new Atrium sliding door. All sealed up and flashed to keep the water on the outside.
Original steps were completely rotted and in no shape for this house to go on the market. Was able to hustle on my schedule to fit this build in to speed up the process.
Finished up this pool deck just in time for Memorial Day weekend.
Customized and installed heavy duty shelf brackets. Customer can now elevate valuables during hurricanes above the highest flood waters we've seen so far.
Heavy duty shelf brackets custom built for a customers garage.
Hard to see but I relocated the electrical for the garage lights before this house gets all new siding.
Found these gems while running an internet booster cable for a customer. Wire nuts were completely rusted and fell off just by touching them. A little more time was invested to get all this cleaned up and safe.
Almost completed. A little caulk and paint and this living room area and hallway will be updated. Took out all the old wood paneling, hung drywall, installed shiplap wall, beadboard with cap trim, chair railing with wainscoting in hallway, baseboards and quarter round.
Laundry area upgraded with storage and.shelving.
Recessed lighting install with a cool night light feature that doesn't involve having to add an extra switch. Would be a great product for hallways, kitchens, and bathrooms!
Good Neighbor Home Improvements LLC is hiring. Experience is a plus but not required.
Removed old screen along with wood caps to install Screen Tight vinyl base and cap system with charcoal colored strong/heavy duty screen. Customer added a new white vinyl door to complete the clean look.
Been a busy week here at GNHI! Along with fitting in a few electrical troubleshooting/fixes I repointed brick on an entire chimney chase. There was so much mortar deterioration the bricks would slide out. Got new mortar completely packed in and sealed.
Had to pull all the flooring the previous installer laid because ALL the seams were in a line, the flooring was laid the wrong direction, transition was a failure, and no way to tie in to the exterior threshold. Glad I could get it right with smooth transition and custom threshold.
Was hired to fix some "floating apart" lvp and ended up replacing an area that wasn't laid right, removing carpet in a bedroom to install new lvp, laying out a kitchen, and running quarter round trim.
Transformed an area that originally had cubbies for shoes and a coat rack into a coffee bar with added cabinet space. Customized a cabinet to fit the area, ran electric, did an epoxy butcherblock countertop, and ran mosaic tile. Great addition to a house for one of the most friendly customers I've had the pleasure to do work for!
