Craven School Nutrition is excited to provide ALL kids 18 and under with free meals this summer! No ID or registration is needed!

We will be offering 2 varieties of meal sites this summer.
1. Congregate Sites. Also known as “C - Sites”! -- Meals served at these locations must be eaten on-site. C-Site meals will be available on weekdays, June 10th - August 16th.
2. Non-Congregate Sites. Also known as "NC-Sites" -- These locations are for picking up "7-day meal kits", once per week, June 10th - August 16th.
Each meal kit includes 1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day. NC-Sites are open on the same day each week, so check the flyer to see when an NC-Site will be serving meal kits near you!

PLEASE BE ADVISED that kids are only eligible to participate in "ONE" variety of meal site. That means that a child enjoying meals at a C-Site is ineligible to receive additional meals in the form of meal kits from an NC-Site, and vice versa.
Don't see a meal site that works for you? Craven County School Nutrition is proud to offer many meal sites, but we aren't the only institution offering free summer meals for kids 18 and under!

2023 Spring Adaptive Bike Day / Upcoming Events | We Can Be Association

While the North Carolina Zoo is Sensory Friendly every day, we understand that it can still be overwhelming for some of our guests on busier days. On Quiet Days at the Zoo, we offer a more sensory-friendly experience and invite everyone looking to visit the Zoo on a less crowded day. We will not allow reservations for large groups or field trips on these Quiet Days. We will also turn off all loud music and messaging at our entrances and throughout the Zoo.

Sensory bags are free for check out from the Guest Services Office or at Kidzone, and designated quiet areas are available and marked throughout the Zoo. Quiet sensory play experiences will also be open 10 am – 2 pm in our Kidzone on these days. Our next Quiet Day is scheduled for March 7th!
