This customer had wood rot on the facade of their chimney corners. The 1×4s and the top pieces of 1x12 were so deteriorated you could literally press your finger through. Someone had cut corners and tried to do it up previously and didn't finish painting it. We were able to get in and out in a day. Set up temporary scaffolding and used a rope for a safety on the back side were there was a pretty far drop. Removed all the pre-existing wood and went back with James Hardie concrete board. Got it caulked and painted. Looks a hell of lot better. Grateful for the work and thankful for my helper! Couldn't have done it with out him.
