We’ll miss seeing you & having your humor in class but we look forward to seeing your future sir. Mr. JuVette is an Ee Dan, 2nd degree blackbelt, in our program & it’s been a pleasure watching him grow into the young man he has become

Sa Bom Nim Marcus Alexander Riley, 4th Dan, at the 20th Texas Tang Soo Do Classic last month. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Texas State University. He has two more weeks coaching and teaching in his rookie year at Marion Middle School. I think he's had an amazing first year. Football season was an adventure and we're looking forward for more next fall. Basketball season, he had a team go undefeated, the track team won the district championship. Keep it up Coach Riley!

Sa Bom Nim Austin Thomas Riley, 4th Dan, competing at the 20th Texas Tang Soo Do Classic last month. He just finished his junior year in the BFA Musical Theater program at Texas State University. He'll be working summer stock theatre at the Woodstock Playhouse in Woodstock, New York. "Anything Goes", "Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang", and "Escape to Margaritaville" are all in his immediate future this Summer. Did I mention we're VERY excited for him?

This Saturday we hosted the 20th Annual Texas Tang Soo Do Classic, held at the Canyon Lake Rec Center, & it just may have been the best one yet! Thank you to everyone who worked so hard behind the scenes to make it such a success both in the planning over the last couple months & working the event, ring coordinating, working the registration table & the t-shirt table & judging all day! Thank you also to the Canyon Lake Middle School Dance Team for running our concessions all day & keeping us fed.

A HUGE "thank you!" to all the studio owners & instructors who put so much work into their students & came to support our event! We had 11 different schools in attendance & it was absolutely beautiful to see so many different patches & styles all just enjoying doing what we love & getting to build new friendships & strengthen old ones.

We can't wait till we get to do it all again next year!

Should’ve taken a picture BUT! I think we set a personal record tonight & got the entire tournament venue set up in only 1&1/2 hours!! HUGE thanks to the Quilter family, Mr Adams, KSN Arrell & SBN Marcus Riley for the assistance setting up!!

Don’t forget to make sure you pick up your weapon, sparring gear & uniform from the Dojang today!! No one will be at the school tomorrow if you forget anything!

It’s TOURNAMENT WEEK! 5 days to go y’all! Get your butts into class so we can fine tune you up, we’ll film your forms for you & get the sparring tuneups in! You know you want to win one of these, as well as we have 7 Grand Championship trophies up for grabs, 6 blackbelt ones & 1 Kodanja Master Grands!

Tournament is 9 days out everyone!! We decided to not raise the registration prices so there really isn’t a reason not to compete 😉

Also be aware that Gup (color belt) competition will probably be bumped up by 30 minutes so plan on arriving a little earlier than advertised!
We also need volunteers to help with ring coordination & registration/tshirt tables so if you’re interested shoot SA Bom Nim Riley or Kyo Sa Nim Ybanez a message (or contact us here) to be added to the list! Kyo Sa Nim Ybanez will make sure that if you don’t have experience ring coordinating that you’re all trained up.
