There’s a spot for everyone, and no one spot is for everyone.
If you’re looking for a movement home that honors your whole self, respects your movement choices, and partners with you using a customized approach towards your wellness goals, we may be for you!
If you enjoy demands, diet culture talk, a lack of choices and complex or outdated anatomy cues being thrown your way, we will not fit the bill.
Over the last decade of teaching I’ve seen many different studio cultures! I’ve seen clients look for a modality first (i.e. Pilates mat class), and then feel unsuccessful, uncomfortable, or like it’s just not for them when the environment didn’t match their needs.
One of my biggest pieces of advice for anyone looking for a movement home is to take time considering what YOU value.
How do you learn best?
How do you like to be spoken to?
Do you have specific triggers or an “absolutely not okay with that” list?
Do your goals match up with the studio culture?
Do you have niche needs to be considered?( chronic illness, post rehab, arthritis, bulging disc etc?)
How do you want to feel when you leave?
My preference in finding good care for my Pilates/movement goals…
Start with what you value!!! Then, If possible, look for a place that honors your values.
I’m so excited to announce this collaboration with 🎉🎉

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Jessica, the founder of The Sharing Spaces, and I can't wait to share more about our conversation. Spoiler alert: I am officially a Reiki convert! Before the interview, I admit I wasn't 100% convinced, but after experiencing it firsthand, I was blown away by its power and effectiveness. Jessica's approach to wellness and healing is truly inspiring, and I can't wait for you to hear more about it. Whether you're new to Reiki or a seasoned practitioner, watch this space!
Mom Thoughts: Movement is always more fun with kids! My son loves to join me and approaches it with a sense of wonder and excitement, and confidence. In this picture, he's attempting the Snake on the Reformer and proving to me that it's "easy" after seeing it in my manual. Kids have a natural curiosity and willingness to try new things, which makes movement and exercise so much more joyful.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Moments like this remind me to approach life with the same mindset. Let's embrace our inner child and have fun with movement, trying new things and exploring new possibilities. Who knows what kind of magic we'll discover!
A BTS shot from my recent interview with Beth Bizer, owner of Best Fit For You. We had a fascinating conversation about foot detoxes and reflexology, a holistic approach to health that involves applying pressure to specific points on the feet to improve overall well-being. It's a really beautiful complement to Pilates and can help you connect with your body on a deeper level. More soon!
This patio is where I discovered so much about myself. As I sat there, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings, I realized that I am capable of finding my centre, no matter where I am. This moment of self-discovery taught me so much about my resilience and inner strength.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Navigating solo parenting in another country and communicating without language showed me that I am able to adapt more than I ever thought possible. It was also where I rediscovered my love of reading, finding inspiration and knowledge in a new world.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Moments like these are magical because they remind us of our potential for growth and transformation. It's a powerful reminder that we carry our strength and resilience with us always, no matter where our journeys take us.
Exciting news—new content is on the way! Featuring some of my all-time favorite flows and teaching tips, I can't wait to share these moves with you and encourage your Pilates exploration and play.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
PS: It truly doesn't matter if you're brand new to Pilates or a seasoned pro, there's always something new to learn and discover.
I just love how the natural light pours in through the windows, bringing a sense of openness and connection to the outside world. When we were designing our space, I knew that the right lighting could make all the difference in creating a home away from home for our community.

I had an absolute blast hanging out with Hailey, owner of Sporthall CrossFit in New Braunfels! And guess what? Coming soon, I'll have video footage as actual proof that I tried CrossFit! I'll be the first to admit that I was more than a little nervous to step out of my Pilates comfort zone, but Hailey made it so much fun and approachable. Who knows, maybe I'll surprise myself and become a regular?

Sometimes it takes a journey across the globe to feel a little closer to home. As a first-generation Italian American, I've always felt a sense of disconnection with my heritage and roots. But, visiting Sicily for the first time was a powerful experience that helped me understand and appreciate my family's history. As I walked the beaches and explored the culture, I felt a connection that I had never experienced before. It reminded me that, no matter how far we wander, we can always find our way back home.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I know what disconnection feels like. That’s why I'm so passionate about creating a space for connection and kind self care in our studio. Whether you're struggling with feelings of disconnection or simply seeking a space to come home to yourself, we're here for you.
My goal as a teacher is not only to foster an environment where students learn more about their own bodies, how to connect with them and change what they are feeling, but also to encourage kind self talk and kind self care.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I have seen kind self talk and care make HUGE impacts on the students I work with. It’s changed the way they talk about their bodies, relate to their bodies and care for their bodies outside the studio. Ultimately it has lead them to truly owning their practice and movement sessions as they learn to listen and honor the ultimate teacher, themselves.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
With that goal in mind my cues and language always aim to…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Encourage self care, reflection and connection.
2. Normalize the client experience as an empathetic witness
3. Increase kind self talk and care
4. Decrease mental clutter
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If these are helpful drop a comment, share with a friend, or save it for later!

A child's imagination is something special. They look at the world in a whole new way, without any of the usual biases or expectations. They're always asking questions and exploring and are not afraid to try new things. I will forever pause to soak up all this little man's curiosity and wonder.
Hoping to bring even 1% of his perspective into my movement and teaching experiences this week 💕

Take me back! I can't believe how beautiful Positano is! The views are breathtaking, and the warm Mediterranean sun warms my soul. Mom-ing is hard work, but memories like these remind me why savoring every moment together is worth it.
My clients come to me not because I teach “the order” every time, but because I strive to put them and their whole selves first.
Sometimes that means ditching exercises all together, going off book, or taking a few extra minutes to cry on the couch before we move.
People first shows up soooo many ways at Pilates Haus.
It’s why I cue to the experience YOU are having, use language that is validating and leave space for you to make adult decisions about your movement practice.
It’s why I ask questions over giving demands, sit to the side instead standing over you, and work with you to find language/cues that make sense to you.
It’s why each session is truly customized and made to measure for YOU… because call me crazy, but I’m a firm believer that YOU receiving kind, validating, connecting care is far more important than Pilates.
Join us for a discovery based evening of 2 practices, and how to use them both to support your own body!
Part 1: Pilates
Expect to get curious as we explore new movements and find new connections.
Part 2: Yoga
Expect to dig into your Yoga practice with curiosity and flow.
Part 3: The Grand Finale
We’ll have some play time to put together a flow that incorporates both practices and gives YOU the authority to make it your own.

Collaboration over control has been a recurring theme in my life lately.
It shows up in my relationships with others, in my relationship to myself and my own body, and when I more deeply consider the type of parent of I want to be.
That has absolutely extended to the way I come alongside my own body, and support others to do the same.
As a recovering “Type A”, leaning into collaboration over control has changed my perspective on what it means to truly connect with and support ourselves and each other.
It’s the backbone of my movement and teaching philosophy because it’s been a pillar in so many areas of my life.
What happens when we explore movement without trying to control our bodies or force them to be a certain way and instead ask how we could collaborate with our bodies and their needs?
What happens we ask how we can collaborate with others who have a different perspective rather than trying to control their worldview?
How would it feel to be parented by someone who you felt truly wanted to work with and support you rather than just control your behavior to match their values.
How would it feel to have movement support that allowed you to learn HOW to collaborate with yourself, that honors where your body is at and what it’s needs are, and the whole process of connecting and trying and moving itself.
What does whole human support look and feel like? For me…
It feels like a collaborative effort with your biggest cheerleader. It feels weird because there are not enough safe spaces like this. It feels freeing when we lean into it because connection is what we crave. It feels truly empowering because we learn things about ourselves not because we followed directions in a class really well.
Whether you’re part of our Pilates Haus family, or looking in from afar, I invite you to ask yourself if/where this theme could be explored in your own life!
Wishing you all the connection and collaboration and kindness you truly deserve!!
A New Way to Pay in May!
I am so excited to announce a new way to pay in May: Pay What You Can.
For the month of May I’m opening up 4 spots (on Wednesdays at 11 A.M.) that allow you to sign up choosing the amount you are able to pay.
I know first hand how inaccessible this industry can be. If it wasn’t for the kindness and open hearts of others I wouldn’t have ever had a foot in the Pilates world. It’s my hope this can bless others even a fraction of the ways I have been blessed.
I trust our community to only use this option if booking a regular session is not accessible right now, and to leave some space so others can do the same. Click on a date/link below to register or send to a friend that could use some Pilates love! Spots are first come first serve, non-refundable or transferable.
Can’t wait to move together soon =)
P.S. New Braunfels locals! Be on the lookout for a fun, local collaboration coming soon!

Cueing clients to find their connections is very different than cueing them with “corrections”.
When we coach from a place of honoring the the person in front of us and trusting them as THE expert of their own body, cueing to connect feels pretty natural.
Cueing to connect…
-honors the person in front us as the expert
-facilitates a partnership
-fosters conversation
-encourages client autonomy and curiosity
-helps our clients BUILD their own wellness equity
Cueing to correct…
-sends the message that the instructor knows more than the client about their own body
-turns into a fancy game of Simon says
-can lead to clients seeking approval from outside of themselves instead of learning how to trust and listen to their own body
-Takes away from their own Wellness Equity
What are some of your favorite ways to put your client in the drivers seat with cues geared toward connection?
Pictured: A moment of quiet surrender in a sunny spot with matcha.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Not Pictured: Life’s inevitable curveballs. At this very moment, I was dealing with some serious anxiety while waiting to hear back on needing another surgery. Even though I was staying optimistic and trying to focus on the present, it was hard to stop myself freaking out about the future.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The point of this is, don't forget to take a minute for yourself whenever you can. Self-care and moments of pause are crucial when things get tough.
Side note: if you or anyone you know is seeking relief from endo, I cannot recommend enough! He gave me my life back, and I’d make the trip to NY for surgery all over again!

I’m a little obsessed with doing things very differently. That comes with a consistently predictable experience. You can always expect….
Inclusive language
Say goodbye to antiquated fitness terms (“let’s move it ladies), and problematic language often used in wellness community. Here we talk kindly about our bodies and how we can support them together.
Requests and Options
This is YOUR session for YOUR body. Not my session to play with, not Joseph Pilates’ workout, just yours. You will not hear demands, cueing that sounds anything like number of reps left, telling your dig deep, to push through or give me all you’ve got. You will hear requests, questions, suggestions you have permission to disregard and plenty of space and options to make your session.. your session.
Cues specifically for you
No belly button to spine or squeezing the life out of your pelvic floor moments here.
I don’t use cues for everyone. I use cues for you, that we work together to find, so they are your feelings in your own words.
Respect and encouragement
Tired of fitness pros talking to you like you’re a little kid? People talking down to people gets my blood boiling. Here I encourage you to be an equal partner in your sessions. That means we I you like an adult, who has autonomy, who knows their body the best and who is capable of making decisions that are best for them. I treat you with you respect, and encourage you through every challenge you want to take on.
Chronic Pain Informed Language
If you struggle with chronic illness or pain, you’re not alone. My own disorders meant I often didn’t feel at home in her body or safe in many movement spaces. The heart behind Pilates Haus is creating that safe space for everyone. That means using language and asking questions that honor the ebbs and flows our bodies go through. Having a flare up, a low energy day, running low on spoons, in a bit of pain but unsure if movement would help or make you feel worse? All of those conversations are welcomed here and help us custom tailor your sessions even more precisely.
