It’s not good for us to be alone. God decided that at creation. God created us to be in a relationship with one another, and especially with Him.

We must have people in our lives to be whole, and we have to be in a relationship of intimacy with Him.

Happy Friday!!

Isn’t it interesting how Fridays feel compared to other days of the week?

Some look forward to the weekend. Some are thankful the weekdays are over. Which are you? Do you tend to look ahead or look behind?

I think it’s important to do both but it’s important to notice instead, what lens am I looking through? Is it one of fear or faith? One of negativity or positivity?

Look ahead in hope and not fear. Hope is a confident expectation of good things coming. Look behind with gratitude instead of regret. Be thankful what you’ve been through and what you’ve learned (or survived through).

Perspective is everything. Change your mindset and watch how your energy changes. Notice how it affects your mood and behaviors. Pay attention to what it does in and to your body.

Here’s to a great weekend with a fresh infusion of hope!

Living life with an awareness of the nearness of God directly impacts our levels of peace and joy.

I especially love using the Immanuel Moment to draw into deeper intimacy with Jesus because it’s rooted and grounded in brain science and in a lot of what I’ve learned as a therapist and clinician.

You need consistency over a period of time. Like going to the gym once won't get you into shape physically, hiring a personal trainer will keep you focused and accountable while showing you key strategies to reach your goals faster or more effectively.

Whether you are looking for Personal or Professional Leadership Growth, Life Coaching, or Business Coaching, decide today that YOU are worth the investment.

The longer you can remain in that place where you are connecting with Jesus and have that awesome sense that He is right there with you – the more you’re being filled with joy. 🙂

Let’s face it – it’s not always easy. It’s often hard to get to that place. Your capacity for joy might only be shot-glass size. Your capacity might be a gallon!

Maybe you can linger there with Jesus for ten minutes or longer. But maybe you are only able to focus for about two minutes, and then your brain is drifting off to other things.

Childlike faith – what does that mean to you? Can you remember when you were three or four years old, and just sitting on your father’s lap?

Or maybe more recently, when you were the parent and your child was just resting in your embrace, fully relaxed, fully secure, knowing they were loved?

When Jesus was asked who was greatest in His kingdom, He pulled a little child to Him and told His disciples that whoever humbles himself like a little child is the greatest in the kingdom.

Whoever can fully rest in Jesus, fully trusting, just content in His presence – that person is great in His kingdom. 🙌

I don’t really know this minister but she’s got it right.

Believers: We have entered the Kingdom Age. It’s no longer “church as usual”. You don’t go to church. You ARE the Church!!

Saints: You are to be equipped and deployed to advance the Kingdom everywhere you go. Do you recognize your “work of ministry”? Do you know your metron or sphere of influence?

Leaders: You must become Fathers and Mothers to help people heal and mature. Orphan hearts are healed in family, when they are received and taught how to be sons and daughters, brothers and sisters who get along with one another and honor one another. But leaders, you too still need family. You still need people to learn from, to hold you accountable and to run with. Stop doing it alone. It’s not about you. Your assignment is too big for you alone, anyway.

Seek God. Stay in the secret place. Find your tribe. Feed the sheep. Stay humble. Dream big. It’s time!!

What does it mean to have wholeness of heart? It means synchronizing the various aspects of our heart and bringing them into full connection with God.

To do that, we first need to understand what the different parts of our heart are. We also need to recognize what can cause us to have a divided heart.

As we discuss wholeness of heart, I will be using the language and principles taught in HeartSync Ministries.

As the Kingdom of God advances, we need leaders in the body of Christ who are healed up, grown-up, and maturely loving those around them.

In this third pillar of becoming a whole-hearted leader, we will learn how to heal and mature into wholeness of heart.

To achieve wholeness of heart, the three parts of our heart need to connect to Jesus and then synchronize with each other.

Jesus rebuilds what was broken through lack of early attachment as infants or through trauma that occurred at various points in our lives.

An important part of our heart is Guardian, who stands between the other two parts – Function and Emotion – and ensures we have healthy boundaries.

If you are a CEO, founder, or leader of a small business, you have found the right place! Solopreneurs are people who are launching or growing a business essentially all on their own.

They wear many hats and do lots of things. And this inevitably keeps you from growing and scaling your business. When you begin to hire and build a team of 2, 5, 10, or 50, you will need to create a culture and put systems in place to succeed.

It’s critical to remember that you need to work ON your business, not just IN your business. Which is why Whole Hearted Small Business Coaching is so powerful.

Jesus is longing for you to experience His vast love and to have wholeness of heart, so you can intimately know Him and experience the abundance and joy He came to give. ❤️

A valuable tool for the wholeness of the heart is the HeartSync model of inner healing – allowing Jesus to connect with each part of our heart (Emotion, Function, and Guardian) and then having those parts connect with each other and work in sync.

Where is your heart today? ❤️ Are the parts of your heart working in harmony with each other and with Jesus?

I want you to get alone with the Lord and discover whether you are living from a place of wholeheartedness.

Using the HeartSync model, allow God to lead and guide you to the deep places of your heart, entering into an Immanuel Moment, where you tap into a memory of intensely experiencing His presence and His joy.

An important element of moving forward in the journey toward wholeness of the heart is “checking in” with each of the core parts of our hearts. ❤️

Are they in a relationship with God?

Are they working in cohesion with each other?

What conflicts need to be resolved so they are no longer separated from each other and from a loving relationship with Jesus?

Paul said that “suffering produces perseverance, perseverance produces character, and character produces hope” (Romans 5:3-4).

We must learn to grow the fruit of the Spirit in the soil of adversity. 🌱

We must learn to see ourselves as the righteousness of God and to live by faith to become like Christ so that we display His character. ❤️

We don’t want to have to go through setbacks because of pride.

We want to willingly humble ourselves and submit ourselves to God. 🙏

Take some time now to reflect on how humility has helped you develop into a leader, and whether pride or false humility has created unwanted developments.

God desires us to grow in generosity in every aspect of our lives.🌱

For many of us, generosity is not our first instinct.

We have to learn to be givers and give place for the Holy Spirit to develop that character trait in our lives. 🙏

God is love, and He is full of mercy and compassion. ❤️

While we are developing into wholehearted leaders, a characteristic we want to see within us is compassion. 🙌

We want to see compassion in action. Compassion goes hand in hand with generosity.

God is the God of Covenant. He is faithful. 🙌

Loyalty is something that characterizes God, and it should characterize us if we are walking in holiness of character. 🙏

How have you grown in loyalty?

Are you a loyal friend?

Are you someone who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24)?

Patience! 🙏

Now, this is a fruit of the Spirit, and you cannot get rid of this one!

Patience is all about longsuffering, and this can be tough!

Patience is a virtue. 🤝

So, how do we grow in the quality or characteristic of patience?

You might not like the answer! 😮

“One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty, and one who rules his spirit, than one who captures a city.” (Proverbs 16:32 NASB) 📖

When you look at the list of the fruit of the Spirit, this one is last, but it certainly is not the least in importance! Self-control is super-important.

You do have the ability to control yourself. 🙌

And the minute you think you don’t – you’re in trouble! 😯

The Bible says the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). 📖

If joy is one-third of the kingdom, we ought to be the happiest people on the planet!

That’s why I’d like to highlight joy as the ninth characteristic of growing in the character of Christ. 🙌
