Housing Market Positioned to Bring Back the Economy 05/19/2020

There is a pent up need for home purchasing from home buyers who have had their searches halted during the pandemic or have been unable to start their search. I believe this is something to look forward to.

Housing Market Positioned to Bring Back the Economy All eyes are on the American economy. As it goes, so does the world economy. With states beginning to reopen, the question becomes: which sectors of the economy will drive its recovery? There seems to be a growing consensus that the housing market is positioned to be that driving force, the tailwind...

On Thursday, May 21st, the Town of Clarkstown along with the Nanuet Chamber of Commerce and New City Chamber of Commerce are hosting an important Reopening Clarkstown webinar. The webinar will have town staff from the building, planning and law departments as well from the SBA and Nanuet and New City chambers offering insight and strategies on what will be needed to reopen local businesses. All businesses must prepare a reopening plan that is available to the Health Department upon request. A model plan will be discussed and offered. Further, we will discuss how the building and fire inspectors will expedite inspections and offer helpful suggestions on how business owners can meet social distancing requirements. Finally, our town planner and town attorney will offer an update on some potential options we are pursuing to allow more opportunities for outside dinning and sidewalk use for local restaurants and stores. Questions and answers will conclude the event. Please spread the word on this important webinar for local businesses.

Should I Sell My House This Year? 01/28/2020

It seems that the Spring market in our area has already caught onto this. I am seeing many homes coming on the market earlier than usual and encountering buyers looking to cash in on the still very low interest rates. If you would like more information about this or the value of your home, just let me know!

The Benefits of a 20% Down Payment 05/08/2019

The Benefits of a 20% Down Payment If you are in the market to buy a home this year, you may be confused about how much money you need to come up with for your down payment. Many people you talk to will tell you that you need to save 20% or you won’t be able to secure a mortgage. The truth is that there are many programs available

One More Time… You Do Not Need 20% Down to Buy a Home 02/05/2019

In my experience in working with buyers, I also find this is a common misconception.

One More Time… You Do Not Need 20% Down to Buy a Home The largest obstacle renters face when planning to buy a home is saving for a down payment. This challenge is amplified by rising rents, which has eaten into the amount of money renters have leftover for savings each month after paying expenses. Real Estate Market Report: Third Quarter 2018 – Rockland County, NY 10/10/2018

Real Estate Market Report: Third Quarter 2018 – Rockland County, NY The Rockland housing market had another strong quarter, with prices up, even while a lack of inventory held back sales growth. What If I Wait Until Next Year to Buy a Home? 05/08/2018

What If I Wait Until Next Year to Buy a Home? We recently shared that national home prices have increased by 6.7% year-over-year.
