Brownies from Link Elementary School met with Supervisor George Hoehmann to learn about local government. The scouts were excited to visit Town Hall. Great job to the girl scouts, their leaders and parents who also joined.

Ca. 1915 -This 1910 Stevens-Duryea car was purchased by the West Nyack Fire Department from car dealer Lorenzo Covert of New City in February of 1915 for $450. By August it had been outfitted for firefighting, and made its debut at the county firemen's parade on August 7th. John P. This Sunday, October 20th, Join Heritage of West Nyack for their annual Fall Festival at the Town's Historic Traphagen Property on Germonds Rd. in West Nyack.

Join Supervisor George Hoehmann tomorrow as he kicks off the annual at Germonds Park in West Nyack. The Happy Jack Fund provides annual scholarships to H.S. students who have lost a sibling as well as provide families with support who are suffering through the loss of a child. The Happy Jack 5k is an annual, family friendly 5k walk/run that honors the life of John Thomas "Happy Jack" Doyle.

Power outage in Nanuet

According to Orange and Rockland Utilities, Inc. a significant outage has occurred affecting residents and businesses in Nanuet. A transformer has blown and traffic lights on Route 59 are out from Forman Drive to Route 304. The Clarkstown Police Department is on site at these intersections and traffic is flowing. As per O&R crews are on scene and most power will be restored within the hour but some residual outages will remain longer particularly near the The Shops at Nanuet. We will post updates as warranted.
