As the July 4 holiday approaches, we just want to remind you that County Animal Hospital will be closed on Thursday, July 4. We will be open on Friday, July 5. Remember also to watch your pet(s) to be sure they don't get any foods they should not eat! If it is hot out, be sure to leave them plenty of water and be careful that the patio, cement, stones, etc. are not too hot to burn their paws! Don't forget that most dogs do not like loud sounds. See last week's post about fireworks with suggestions to make it less frightening for your dog.

We hope you and your pets have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Fireworks entertain most of us (humans), but our pets? Not so much. Please take a look at the flyer below for some things you can do to make it safer for your pets. By the way, Dr. Weiner and Dr. Neiman, as well as our Licensed Techs, are all Fear Free Certified professionals. If you have any questions not answered below, be sure to call us at 845-634-4607 for guidance.

County Animal Hospital is closed on Thursday, July 4th. We are open on Friday, July 5th. We wish everyone a safe July 4th Celebration.

Happy 1st Birthday Clarice!! You may recall that last year some kittens were born on someone's porch and the homeowner brought them here. One of our Tech Assistants, Bridget, adopted one of those kittens. Yesterday Clarice turned one year old!! Here she is celebrating with a balloon and her dinner, disguised as a cake with a candle!!

As we posted last month, we recently changed our electronic medical records software. The transition went smoother than expected, but there are still some kinks that need to be smoothed out. One of those things is the appointment reminders we send you. If you receive an appointment reminder and you have recently been here or already have an appointment scheduled in the next month or two, please ignore the reminder that asks you to call us to make the appointment. We should have this fixed in the next few weeks.

We thank you VERY much for your patience. Thanks,
County Animal Hospital.

Thank you everyone! We are very proud to continue to be a certified hospital of the American Animal Hospital Association AAHA as we have been for 53 years. Personally, I couldn’t be more proud of all the people that I am blessed to work with.
