An advice that will save you from disappointment:

Take people as they are, not what they could be.

I woke up to about 7 missed calls from wifey. First words, “Anthony, what did you do?” Half sleep I asked her what she’s talking about and she continued to say if I made an purchases on the account. I said no, and she knowssss when I lie lmao. We started losing it, checking our bank statements to see if there were any purchases for the subscription, which I’m not against, I was thissss close, but my baby was relentless in wanting to put in the work for this account to be recognized by Instagram after all these years since I’ve been solo‼️ After contacting a IG rep through the Chat, we were notified this page was given verification organically through ‼️
🥹I have no WORDS but only grateful to finally be given this authentication to my page!

🙏🏾With days before my mom’s memorial and the heaviness of September 11th, I needed, hoped for, prayed for, a little light. Though I wholeheartedly believe in my work and continued to move as humbly as I can, I never questioned the “possibility” of seeing a check on this page. 👑 set the bar to its highest and set such a precedence behind the name, it’s a name I’m honored to share with you Brother, still I’m so so thankful to have this acknowledgment for a Bronx Drummer simply trying to share his sound with the world!

My whole life changed when I realized I could be humble and calm, yet still take no s**t and set solid boundaries to protect my energy.

Let your past make you better, not bitter.

Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it. Nothing goes to waste on the journey of life. Both good and bad experiences shape your mind and heart for what is to come. Everybody has their own story, and their own journey.

Self-care tip:

Be thankful for the bad things in life, they open your eyes to see the good things you weren't paying attention to before.

Don't wait until everything is just right. It will never be perfect. There will always be challenges, obstacles and less than perfect conditions. Get started now. With each step you take, you will grow stronger and stronger, more skilled, more self-confident and more successful.

When you are thankful for what you have, you are always rewarded with more.

May your choices reflect your hopes, not your fears. The content of your character is your choice. Day by day, what you choose, what you think and what you do is who you become. Since everything is a reflection of our minds, everything can be changed by our minds.

Procrastination is a HABIT. You defeat it the same way you defeat any other bad habit:

1. Commitment
2. Discipline
3. Consistency

Make changes, not excuses.

Surround yourself with people whose definition of you is not based on your history, but your destiny. When people walk away from you, let them go. Your destiny is never tied to anyone who leaves you, for their part in your story is over.

Let your dreams be bigger than your fears and your actions be louder than your words.

You don't have to be who you were yesterday, or last week, or a year ago.

You are free to create yourself, each and every day.

You don't always need a plan. Sometimes you just need to breathe, trust, let go, and see what happens.

Self discipline is one of the most important things to have.
