Thank you Household Items Team for making our clients houses homes! Without you, our clients won't have the necessary items to live everyday life. The Household Items Team can't provide for our families without the generous donations of others! Welcome Essa to our International Welcome Center team! He will be working with our Resettlement & Placement families starting with their arrival on Day 1. We are so excited to have him part of our amazing team!

Gather a small group of your friends or life groups and volunteer to be the first to greet a refugee family to the United States at the airport and support them for up to 90 days!

Meet our Drivers Ed Team - they help our refugees that are able and want to learn how to drive. They help from getting the refugee's temporary license to letting the refugee drive with them and learn all our rules and laws. With the final outcome of the refugee obtaining their driving license. Today is World Bicycle Day and we want to honor Mark Herwick for all he does at the International Welcome Center! Without his help, our refugee families won't get the bicycles that he and his team repair and make like new. Thank you Mark for all you do for the IWC!

Exciting news! We are warmly welcoming our first families through our resettlement program NEXT WEEK! To help them settle in and rebuild their lives, we are seeking donations of gently used cookware and bakeware. United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and Non-governmental Organizations (NGOs) partner to make sure all refugees are screened and eligible to enter the U.S. This process is lengthy and detailed.

Originally Memorial Day was called Decoration Day, because loved ones would decorate the graves of our fallen soldiers who died protecting our country. Thank you to all the brave men and women who gave their lives for us or are protecting us now!

The International Welcome Center will be closed on Monday, May 27th, so our families can observe Memorial Day. We will be open on Tuesday with our normal hours. Enjoy your Memorial Day!
