Job Summary
Busy business law boutique is seeking an associate for our bankruptcy and litigation department with at least 1+ years experience for its New Haven office. An ideal candidate will have at least some work experience handling business litigation and/or bankruptcy matters (either creditor's or debtor's side).
Location: Green & Sklarz, LLC, One Audubon Street, New Haven
Job Description: You will work closely with the firm’s partners and their clients concerning complex business litigation and bankruptcy related matters, including representing individuals and businesses in all aspects of commercial litigation, financial reorganizations, creditor committee work, and trustee work. Note, we do not represent institutional lenders to remain "conflict free" in chapter 11 engagements. This is a partner track position with a growing firm. Strong communication and drafting skills are required.
Experience: 1-5 years in litigation and/or bankruptcy. Applicants should be self-motivated and able to function in a high pressure and demanding environment.
Bar Admissions: Connecticut bar admission is a requirement for the job.
Salary/Benefits: Starting salary will be commensurate with experience. Green & Sklarz offers a fringe benefits package including: health, 401(k), paid time off, secure parking, and others. We also encourage our attorneys to participate in bar association activities, client development activities, and professional development.
