I woke up Monday to a text from my editor, "Read your email please Need you in early." The Hartford Courant had reported that a man had been brought from the New Haven jail to the hospital, where he was already in rigor mortis. Well, he was in "rigor," which I was told later in the day isn't the same thing. But it's still a tragedy, and I will have a story this weekend following up on the case. This story, unlike most that I post to this group, was posted on our free site, so you may have read it.
