As a photographer, I was completely intrigued by the new AI Headshots and had to try it out. Here's what I found- the pros, the cons, and the conclusions about trying it yourself!

It's Sunday- which means it is time to go back through your photos from the last week & delete the images you don't need! What were your favorite images from the last week? How many will you actually print? Inquiring minds want to know!

I've been studying photography for 20 years. I have some of the best cameras & lenses, incredible studio lights and a beautiful studio... yet even I can't do this for myself. These photographs, taken by the always-lovely Iryna Snovsnovska in New York, are moments with my daughter that I could not create on my own. This is why photographers do what we do. A great article about how older women are portrayed. It makes me wonder, though, what if- instead of not trying to defy our age or even just accepting it- what if we CELEBRATED it?! After all, those sunspots, crow’s feet &, yes, even stretch marks- are signs that we’re living full lives! Why on Earth wouldn’t we celebrate that??!

I loved looking through this! Those who answered were generally split between photos of world events & photos of lovers ones. My challenge to you today: find a family photo you love and have it printed so you can see it everyday!

I absolutely love this story! Family photographs are some of our most treasured possessions, which all-too-often get forgotten until they are in disrepair. Kudos to this Amity teacher (and her students!) for recognizing the situation and taking the time to bring these moments back!! Bravo!

I love this story so much primarily because she recognized the everyday moments for the treasure they were and took the time to capture them. I encourage my clients to take one day every fall to "catalog" their lives. Where do you live? What car do you drive? What does the pile of shoes by the door look like? The shot list is full of everyday things you don't generally care about... until they're gone.
