These antique chairs of ours, some as old as the 1890s, have seen a lifetimes worth of patrons & then some. We love doing our part to ensure that they see more than another hundred years! A little maintenance goes a long way towards preservation! Having said that, I’ll be stowing away my beautiful, wooden Theo Koch’s franken-chair for reupholstery & a thorough refresh/rebuild of its mechanics. I can’t wait to tear it apart & get my hands on the hydraulic heart of that sacred shop relic. We’ve temporarily replaced her with one of our classic, porcelain 1950s Theo Koch’s barber chairs & also swapped out the reclining rod mechanism depicted here. Mickey will keep our 1890s wooden barber chair love alive in-shop with his classic Jones Bros. Koken. A true sight to see! Huge shoutout to my wife for helping me move 300 pound barber chairs around without breaking a sweat! Gotta go ice my hammies!

We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend, Michael Vitale. You were such a kind person, Mikey…We love you buddy. Family for life & beyond; I promise you that. Kat, we are always here for you & encourage you to stop by whenever you’d like. We know how much our New Hope haunt meant to Mikey & he will always mean just as much, if not more, to us. Mikey will forever be one of the strongest people we’ve ever had the honor of knowing. Rest in peace, my friend.

True Believers Barber Shop is joining Kin again in donating a portion of our sales this month towards benefitting local cancer patients & their caretakers! Keith, Marianne & the rest of the incredible people at Kin have brought together an amazing coalition of local spas, salons & barber shops in the area to benefit this cause!

We could not be more proud to be included, & know that every single person who comes in this month to get a haircut, beard trim &/or straight-razor shave will be stoked to hear that they’re helping in the fight against cancer with each service rendered!

In some capacity, everyone is afflicted by this horrible disease & I want to give a huge shoutout to my sister Annette Kieffer for her willingness to fight her fight, to prevail in both strength & weakness, to remain positive & for keeping faith in herself. She is a warrior & then some! We believe in you, your ability to conquer this battle & we are dedicating our efforts this month to you. Love you sis!

Liquid Death/Reuzel’s “Severed Head: Strong Matte Clay” just hit our shelves! This bad boy is literally made with Liquid Death’s Mountain Spring Water; it washes out with ease & its pliability is incredible. The smell is addicting & reminiscent of Reuzel’s mango-salsa scented “Heavy Hold Grease”. We are so stoked Leen & Bertus went this direction as it’s one of our favorites! So many great memories of having Kerry Huffman in my chair from over the years & having Craig Berube stop in for cuts with Credence!

We are honored to be a part of this month-long event in order to raise money & awareness for local cancer patients & their caretakers! All you have to do is come in for your regularly scheduled service from May 6th until June 6th, & we will be donating a percentage of ALL of this month’s proceeds towards the cause! As a kickoff, I’m commemorating our involvement to my sister Annette Kieffer , who just finished her last round of chemo. She is a warrior. I could not be more proud of her, her hard fought battle & victory in overcoming her cancer. Too many people don’t get to say those words & that is completely unfair. As a shop, to those who find themselves afflicted by this disease, we are here for you & pledge our support. You are never alone in your fight.
