How could Christian leadership be informed by its leader? This morning, I share from Isaiah 11:3-5 the coming messianic Root of Jesse. He would establish his reign with RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE. Love this! Celebrating volunteers in our church for ONE month. Churches could not do what they do without the generosity of their people Clovis EV Free Church we value all the time and talents that our people use to make the name of Jesus known.

Here at Clovis EV Free (CEFC) we are so thankful and grateful for the generosity expressed to Christ through not only the monetary contribution of our people but the faithful service that is exemplified via acts of service/volunteerism. We are better because of you! We will be highlighting various ministries which represent many dear volunteers that make the ministry a success. Our volunteer celebration will commence this Sunday, May 19 - June 9, 2024 during our morning worship celebration. On June 9, we will be culminating our celebration with an ice cream social.

I love it when a church creates opportunities for people to commit as followers of Jesus Christ. Gr8 job Clovis EV Free Church

Why membership?

God saved us from sin, condemnation, and wrath. What did God save us to? He saved us to enjoy a relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; in other words, we have been called into community with the triune God. What are the implications of God's redemptive work? Community! Community with God and his family of all those who he has redeemed.

Another word for this is relationships. At Clovis EV Free (CEFC) we are committed to three things: Glorify God unreservedly, Loving others sacrificially, and making disciples purposefully. All this is possible because we believe that in all things Christ supreme!

Membership class is not only for new people. Membership class could also be retaken by current members that would like to refresh their understanding of our vision, mission, and values at CEFC. A friend said to me, "retaking the membership class is like renewing marriage vows," I responded, "exactly." The joy of belonging to community that desires that the gospel spread to our city as brothers in Christ. Thanks to my dear friends from Clovis EV Free Church Russ and Myrna Dodd, and all the churches that participated in National Day of Prayer.

One of the most impactful passages of the Bible is found in the encounter Moses had with Yahweh Exodus 34:6-9. The people blew it, they committed apostasy (Ex. 32), they attributed their new found freedom to the golden calf (wow)! In what many scholars have wrestled with, Yahweh reveals himself to Moses (Ex. 34:6-9). From the previous chapter Moses asked God to reveal his glory to him (Moses). So Yahweh did. I love the fact did not reveal himself by his attributes, rather by his character…steadfast love! When we are broken by sins destructive power, our redeemer is greater than our sin or its destructive consequences. Jesus was God’s incarnated word full of grace and truth (Jn 1:17). It is an awesome thought, we can come to God in Christ who reveals Yahweh’s grace and truth for our lives, even when we’ve been an apostate. The passage does not ignore God’s justice, because Yahweh does address the issue of sin/guilt. Praise the Lord!

What a glorious day to worship the Lord and to learn from his word. Thank you you to all the people that make this possible on a weekly basis. Clovis EV Free Church

Pausing to prepare, reflect, and read are very important parts of leadership (Ps. 90:12). Don’t neglect this simple principle, it really does work and is priceless!
