The customer called, stating their dryer was not heating anymore. Went check it out and discovered this while I was diagnosing the not heat problem. They are very lucky this dryer didn't catch on fire yet. As you can see, some of the lint was already scorched. I showed the customer this and recommended that I clean the inside and replace the part that was bad. They agreed, and the dryer is back up and running as it should. Just to let everyone know that we do offer dryer duct cleaning along with disassembly of the dryer to vacuum all the lint out. This refrigerator was a challenge to figure out how to gain access to the area I needed to get into. The appliance repair course I took tells you that it is impossible to know every detail about every model of every brand that you will encounter when repairing all major brands of appliances. They say you have the basics on how to repair appliances. Just get out there and run service calls, and you will do just fine. That is proving to be very true. However, I had to do some research to figure out how to remove panels and components without breaking anything. I had to remove just about everything inside this particular brand and model refrigerator to gain access. I am gaining valuable knowledge from each service call that I get. I am new to the appliance repair world. But, with my training, I was able to have the suspected bad part with me to get the repair done!
