Demolition of an outbuilding caused a fire that spread to the woods around it, and neighboring yards yesterday afternoon.
Crews worked from both sides of the incident to bring it under control in about an hour.
We urge residents to not perform hot work or burn in these dry and windy conditions to prevent future incidents like these.
Thank You to our Mutual Aid Agencies!

This weekend we had members finish their Operations Level of Vehicle Rescue. 30 students from 3 counties participated in this 44 hour program.
Students used electric, battery operated, hydraulic, and pneumatic tools in multiple scenarios to learn applications for future incidents.
They sit for their Technician Examination Thursday November 7th.
Today our members provided fire prevention education Grandma's House in the Township.
This gives us the opportunity to interact with the age groups, teachers and showcase our equipment and apparatus.
This year we talked about calling 9-1-1, exit drills in the home (E.D.I.T.H), and don’t fear a firefighter in gear.
Each youngster was given their own fire helmet before they had the opportunity to look over the fire apparatus and meet the firefighters.

First alarm companies were alerted just before midnight last evening for a reported house fire in our “Lincoln Beach” section of the Township. Chief 115 arrived to find smoke showing, prompting our working fire alarm to be dispatched.
Crews revealed the problem to be a furnace fire in the basement with some extension into adjacent walls and ceiling. The fire was extinguished and building was ventilated.
We urge residents to have furnaces and chimneys cleaned as colder weather approaches to prevent future fires. As this is 2024 Fire Prevention Week, we also attribute the early detection of this fire to working smoke detectors. If you would like you residence or business checked and/or need smoke detectors, please reach out to us
