Today we celebrated with a special steel drum performance by the Pan Vibrations for our dedicated hospital staff. 🎶✨ The vibrant rhythms brought a touch of the Caribbean to our workplace, enhancing our sense of community and unity. We are so excited to announce that yesterday we launched our new Beckman Coulter DXA Automation Line. It will substantially decrease lab test turnaround times, and increase lab efficiency by reducing hands on tech time. The lab team has been working incredibly hard to get it up and running to better service our community and help us deliver accurate, timely results. 🔬

Our ✨West Jefferson Cares program✨ is on the move! With this program, our very own frontline staff members, leaders, and employees are working together to make a difference and bring a little more magic to healthcare in our Westbank community.

We all know the saying “April showers bring May flowers!” Our West Jefferson Cares program brought just that to Touro’s Woldenberg Village – some beautiful May flowers! Our team visited last month, where they painted flower pots and planted plants with our Westbank seniors. It was a fun afternoon celebrating the beauty of May and horizon of summer! 💐

✨ Our June Star of Gold is radiant! ✨

Meet Ms. Celesta Tracy, the Lead Clerk at the Manhattan Family Medicine clinic. She is the backbone of the clinic and is extremely instrumental to the clinic's success. There are so many behind-the-scenes duties she takes on that help make our clinic run seamlessly. Her manager says, "I rely on Celesta heavily and would not be able to take on additional responsibilities without her support, commitment, and dedication to our clinic and organization. She has aided in the development of our front desk staff to be self-sufficient and problem solvers. I don't know what I or the clinic would do with her.” 💟

She is truly the best-of-the-best! Thanks, Ms. Tracy, for always delivering care beyond extraordinary and for being a true star! 🌟

This Sunday, we celebrated cancer survivors and those on the path to survivorship during our annual Cancer Survivors Day Brunch. We want to give a big thank you to Boomtown Casino & Hotel New Orleans for making this beautiful celebration possible!

Cancer Survivor Rebecca Brignac who shared her inspiring story at the brunch said, "I would like to thank the West Jefferson Cancer Care for always making me believe that I would come out on the other side, even when I couldn’t see that other side. And to my family and friends, there are no words for what you all have meant. I love you all."
