FREE and open to the public thanks to support from the Algiers Development District, Algiers Development Corporation, and the Joint Development Committee. Blues Madness takes the stage THIS SATURDAY at Algiers Fest at 12:30pm! This contemporary blues band’s high energy live performances feature an arsenal of original compositions and popular hit recordings along with dynamic vocals, a classic horn section and pulsating rhythms that stir your soul and speak to your heart.

Performing at this year's Algiers Fest is blues/rock artist Jonathon Boogie Long. Long's passion for the blues started as a child. He's performed in music clubs across the country since, been named Guitar Center’s “King of the Blues,” and even shared the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival stage with blue legend Luther Kent. Long hits the stage at 4:30pm at this year's Algiers Fest on October 5!

In 2011, the band won a Grammy Award for Best Zydeco or Cajun Album, and they've been honored over the years with awards from OffBeat Magazine's "Best of the Beat" and Gambit Weekly's "Big Easy Music Awards." He and his band have traveled all over the world and we can't wait to see them at Algiers Fest!
