Ten Tigers competing as 5500 Powerlifting, our offseason club, took first place at the 2024 USPA High School Nationals in the equipped division. Several State, National and World Records were established or broken. Full write up coming soon.

Weight Room Fundraising Campaign Holy Cross School is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school founded in 1849 by the Congregation of Holy Cross to educate young men in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12.

Joey Saputo missed his first two squats and rebounded on his third and had a great meet afterwards. In only his second meet, he persevered and finished well in a field of 15 lifters.

2023 Christmas Eve lift in the books.

Our Captains for the 2024 season have been named.

Senior Vincent Guidry has been with the program for 6 seasons and has competed in two LHSPLA South Regionals. Further accolades are 4 meet victories in both LHSPLA and USAPL competitions with our club affiliate, 5500 Powerlifting. He was a member of our 2021 USAPL National Champion team.

Sophomore Frankie Marullo has been with the program for 5 seasons. He is a very talented young lifter who has a contagious charisma and relates well with all age levels of his teammates. He too was a member of the 2021 USAPL National Champion team.

Senior Brady Landreaux has been with the program for 6 seasons. A dual sport athlete(football) Brady works year round and has made it a point to check on his teammates in the offseason. Brady has also competed at two LHSPLA South Regionals.

We are looking forward to the leadership of these wonderful leaders.

2023 Holy Cross School - Golf Tournament Holy Cross School is an independent, Catholic, college preparatory school founded in 1849 by the Congregation of Holy Cross to educate young men in grades Pre-Kindergarten through 12.

Senior 220 James Tichenor and Senior Captain SHW Kevin Poret have qualified for State and received their award shoes. This tradition began in 2021. Each lifter that qualifies for State receives a custom pair of shoes designed to match the team colorway for that season. Congrats, gentlemen!

The Tigers lifted some heavy weights yesterday against the toughest Regional field in the state.

13 lifters, 5 sophomores and 8 freshmen, made the trip to St. Amant High School for the 2023 Gator Invitational. They hung with a large number of juniors and seniors. Some of our lifters competed raw.

The lifter of the day was Paxton Veale who, competing raw, found third place on the podium in an equipped meet.

Great performances came from Jahri Meteye who hit a PR deadlift to stay in second and Nicco Tomasseo going an easy 9/9 with more to come.

Several lifters had landmark days in their young careers and it was a great day to be a Powerlifting Tiger.

The future of the program is bright. Watch this roster make its way up the ranks for years to come.
