The September Newsletter is out with all sorts of goodness, please check your spam if you don't see it in your inbox and mark as safe so you don't miss upcoming news and events happening at the studio! Above are just a few of the moments from our adaptive yoga tent at the 17th Annual National Veterans Summer Sports Clinic in San Diego. Ray and I had the honor to work once again with Annie Okerlin, founder of the Exalted Warrior Foundation to provide adaptive, trauma informed yoga to over 120 wounded veterans! Trinity Yoga worked at the cycling venue alongside the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride Team to make sure each participant, no matter their injuries, would be able to do a 30, 60 or 90 minute ride. Afterwards they received a gentle yoga class along with iRest. It was truly an honor and privilege to be a part of something so inspiring, and it certainly solidifies that yes....absolutely every body can do yoga!

“Clearly recognizing what is happening inside us, and regarding what we see with an open, kind and loving heart, is what I call Radical Acceptance. If we are holding back from any part of our experience, if our heart shuts out any part of who we are and what we feel, we are fueling the fears and feelings of separation that sustain the trance of unworthiness. Radical Acceptance directly dismantles the very foundations of this trance.” Tara Brach

Trinity Yoga offers this free class for cancer survivors and their caregivers. Come experience for yourself gentle yoga, focused breathing, and meditation with Stacey.
"Yoga can help people with cancer both mentally and physically, research shows. While it can't fight cancer itself, yoga may ease some side effects of the disease and its treatments. Some studies have found that yoga might:
• Ease cancer-related fatigue
• Improve sleep
• Help with recovery from cancer surgery
• Reduce depression, anxiety, and distress
Yoga is a mind-body practice long thought to help reduce stress and boost flexibility. It has three main elements:
• Physical poses, called asanas
• Breathing techniques
• Meditation, or mindfulness exercises"

Trinity Yoga is so pleased to have Sarah teaching this workshop!
Qigong is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a form of exercise and moving meditation that has been enjoyed by young and old for thousands of years.
Qi (pronounced chee) is life force, energy, breath, potential, and the force that flows through all things. In Qigong we use movements, stretching and breathing techniques to cultivate Qi where deficient, strengthen it where weak, circulate and clear it where stagnation and blockages occur, and seal it where needed. Through repetitive movements, focus and connecting mind with body, we learn to correct posture and move in a coordinated way to achieve optimum strength, stability and fluid motion.
All things must be in balance in order to maintain optimum health. Energetically, we use attunements to help us maintain a balance among the systems responsible for processing Qi. The Five Elements Qigong set is used to purge and tonify the zang-fu organs. The proper energetic functioning of the elements in our bodies smooths out the transformation of Qi into a form we can use to protect our health and invigorate our bodies.
This workshop is suitable for all ability levels. Every movement and posture can be adapted and we will progress from basic to advanced versions of each, empowering students to find one that suits their individual needs.
You do not need a yoga mat, but be ready to move, stretch, breathe, and have a fun time!

A place where you can be yourself and connect with other women - Trinity Yoga's monthly Women’s New Moon Sacred Circle.
This space has been created with the intention of making women feel seen, safe, heard, and witnessed. In this circle, we will share our thoughts, hopes, dreams, and encouragement with each other in a safe and supportive community.
For August, we will revisit the chakras and dive deeper into mudras (finger postures) and mantras (affirmations). Chakras, like spinning wheels of energy, reside along the spine—from its base to the crown of the head. There are seven primary chakras, each intimately connected to specific attributes. A short questionnaire will guide you to which chakra may need more attention.
We’re back in the studio. Space is limited.
Please register early and remember to cancel if you can’t attend.
