Greek Jewish Festival The only festival of its kind in the world! A celebration of Greek Jewish culture with live Greek and Sephardic music, traditional food, dancing, and more.

Today, bidding farewell to our beloved Alexandra proved to be an arduous task. Nonetheless, we take comfort in knowing that Alexandra Theophanous Reilly will remain with us in spirit, deeply embedded in our hearts and minds. As we reminisce, allow us to share some of our cherished moments with Alexandra that brought us joy.

It is with great sadness that we will gather this weekend to bid farewell to a remarkable woman who has left an indelible mark on all of our lives. Alexandra Reilly was a true fighter, both in the personal and professional realm. She faced many challenges with courage and determination, never allowing any obstacle to hold her back.

Alexandra had a passion for dance, and she was a master of many different styles. She practiced tirelessly, always striving to perfect her craft. She loved teaching others the steps and would patiently guide them until they got it right. Her dedication and passion for dance were truly inspiring, and we will never forget the joy and energy she brought to every practice and performance.

Despite her battle with cancer, Alexandra never gave up on her love for life. She remained active in her community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her positive attitude and infectious laughter lifted the spirits of those around her, and her strength and resilience were an inspiration to us all.

We celebrate the journey of this remarkable woman and the impact she made on all of us. Her spirit will live on, and her memory will continue to inspire us to experience each day with passion, courage, and zest.

Rest in peace, dear Alexandra. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Metsovo is one of the most famous traditional villages in Greece mostly because of their unique and colorful hand woven textiles, products of centuries of shepherding by the Vlach population that still inhabits the town, which they call Amintziou. An important town if the 17th and 18th centuries due to its location on the main pathways between northern and southern Greece, Metsovo supplied the wool not only to Ioannina and nearby villages but throughout the Balkans and even north Africa.

Gorgeous beaches, whitewashed houses, bougainvillea-filled patios and hidden treasures… Astypalea resembles the best of the Greece’s Cyclades islands, except that it’s one of the Dodecanese islands and has a unique character of its own.

Episkopi is a village in Naousa and has about 1,920 residents. Episkopi is situated east of Marina, and south of Plevoma.

These female costumes are from Ikonio, which is currently located in the Central Anatolia region of Turkey. Bridal costumes display similarities to the urban dresses worn before the “Amalia” costume came into fashion. It is one of the few costumes in Greek folk culture that represents the upper-class, wealthier Greek population by its intricate detail, unique features, fur motifs, and coins.

According to the myth, the name Salamina (Salamis) was given to the island by Kychreas in honour of his mother Salamis, one of the five daughters of the river god Asopos.

One of the most famous traditional costumes is the Karagouni costume, which is found in scattered Karagouni-villages, generally in the Thessaly plain, Karditsa and west, northwest outside Trikala and Kalambaka, as well as to the north to Tirnavos and Larissa.
