Me, me, pick me! I’m Kane. As you can see, I am an astonishingly handsome Doberman Pinscher and I’m 4 years young. Don’t let this serious expression fool you. I’m a goofball!
See, I’m a big guy but gentle; a gentle giant, you might say. I love to be with my people, including the little ones; kids are so interesting and I love them. And I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my stuffed toys. Chewing is for cows; I’d rather play! In fact, if you throw me a stuffie, I’ll catch it in the air for you! It’s one of my cool tricks.
Other dogs can make me nervous, though, so let me meet my fellow canines slowly so I can make sure they’re cool like me. In my last home, I spent a LOT of time in my crate alone 😔 but my best friend was a miniature Schnauzer so if you have a chill little dog for me to hang out with, that'd be sweet! I walk well on leash so if you’re looking for a handsome devil to walk you, I’m your man! I am crate trained and know basic commands but sometimes need reinforcement. That’s easy, though, because I love food and am treat motivated to learn all that you want to teach me.
Darlene is a 1-year-old Labrador/hound mix who is gentle and very loving. She is a wonderful family dog, who gets along with kids and people of all ages, as well as other dogs.
And, would you look at that creamy coat? Who needs to invest in highlighter when you have those gorgeous copper-colored ears framing your pretty face? That little underbite just seals the deal that she's perfectly beautiful.
Darlene is good on a leash, house trained and crate trained. She LOVES to go "bye bye and probably will be a happy water dog when the weather is warmer. She knows basic commands and is the epitome of a good girl who wants to love her people fiercely.
🐱🐱🐱 Cat Friendly 🐱🐱🐱
Hi, my name is Robo, and I am a handsome devil. I must point out that I am much more handsome than I am a devil. I'm one of those really smart guys who also happens to be funny and sometimes a little clumsy. People always say I have personality.
I'm a 4-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with an honest face, smiling eyes and some pretty gorgeous brown spots. I have training in lots of commands, including sit, come, drop it, spin and down. If you have some cheese on hand, you can teach me absolutely anything else. Because CHEESE.
Do you have a hand that can reach down to the floor? Or reach over to your right or left while we're on the couch? You'll need that hand, because I love belly rubs a whole lot. And, as I mentioned before, I'm so handsome that you'll want to give them to me all the time. I'm so good around the house, because I'm house trained and crate trained and know exactly what I'm supposed to do.
Playing is my favorite pastime (well, if it's not belly rub time). I am really playful, and I get so happy when I hear the best sound in the world: a squeaky toy! I also love to chase the ball and fetch. I do well on a leash, and walks are fun and exciting - all the smells, plus all the people and dogs you can meet!
People are the best, and I really like them! After all, they're the ones who do the belly rubs and have the CHEESE. I make friends easily with adult humans. I also love other dogs and even cats. None of them are as handsome or cool as me, but I'm such a good friend that they don't seem to feel too inferior.

JUST KIDDING!! Really, we just got some awesome new photos of our boy and wanted to show him off!
Gosh, this young fellow, Tucker, has been passed around more times than a silly Facebook meme. And through no fault of his own! But he's finally found rescue and we know we can find him a permanent home where he will be loved.
What we know so far: he is great in his kennel, he loves to play with other dogs, he's cat friendly and he's good with people. He can also escape a 4' fence but has not been able to escape his foster's 6' fence. He also seems to be house broken as he's only pottied once in his foster home and all other times, he's done his business outside.
Tucker is a 4-year-old lab/pointer (?) mix who would do best in active home where he'll get lots of play time, walks/runs, and positive
Jasper is a 1-year-old Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier (who says rescues don’t get ‘special breeds’?) who has so much to offer the right person or family! He is housebroken, crate trained, and knows how to use a doggie door. He also knows come, sit, lay down, stay, touch, look, and shake my hand. Smart guy! He knows how to play fetch and while it isn’t his passion, he does have fun chasing the ball; and if you don’t throw it too far, he might even bring it back! He has decent leash skills but could use some more practice with that. He is very well behaved in the car and is used to being buckled into a harness during the ride. Jasper also has the best sense of humor! On occasion (usually when he’s bored), he loves sneaking clothes, blankies, or rugs out of the house through the doggie door. But he doesn’t damage them! He takes them on trips around the yard or curls up on them. Silly boy (but quite endearing)!
Alas, Jasper needs to be the only pet in the home. He is friendly, but a little shy with new people. He is not a Velcro dog but does like to cuddle some and is very sweet and affectionate with his people. Jasper is a very smart but nervous guy and when another dog scares him, his fight/flight/freeze response is to fight. He has been working with a behaviorist and making progress. It would be best for him to continue this - hopefully continuing this work will help him be able to be around other dogs but, for now, he must be the only pet in the home. He sometimes gets worked up about things on tv including fireworks (also doesn’t like these in real life and will bark and growl), and other dogs (both cartoon and real ones). He has not been around kids so it would be best if there were no young (i.e., unpredictable) children in the home. Jasper has never been around cats or other small animals but doesn’t have a strong prey drive.
She is only 1-2 years old, but there are already some heroes in Maize’s life story. The biggest hero might even be Maize herself.
This hound mix girl, who weighs about 40 lbs., was dumped out in the country with her puppies. Maize stayed with her puppies, and cared for them and protected them, just like a fierce mama bear should. Lucky for all of them, trappers came to their rescue. Because of Maize’s mama heroics, her puppies have gone home to their furevers. Now it is Maize’s turn to find her own home too – are you the one who will save her next?
Maize is an eager-to-please girl who is hesitant at first with new people, but she warms up, and especially when she has a confident canine friend or two to show her all the good things. She definitely deserves to live the good life with a furever family. Maize LOVES dogs of all sizes and would prefer a home with at least one other 4-legged friend to play with. Kids are a bit much for her, so a home with kids over 12 would suit her.
Maltese lovers, here you go! 😍😍😍
Maltese are one of the smallest breeds, so that means they don’t leave much of a footprint – just four little tiny ones, as a matter of fact. Lyle is a Maltese who weighs about 10 pounds and is probably 2-3 years old. Because of his breed, Lyle won’t shed much if any, though he’ll need to keep his fur groomed so he can see – and also look handsome. We like our guys to be dapper!
Maltese are known to be affectionate and intelligent, and Lyle is both. He is shy, so you’ll see all that yourself the more you get to know him. He’ll need to be in a home with patient and calm adults, and he just knows you’ll be able to see the best in him. He self-crates when life feels overwhelming, because he is a good boy under that white fluff. Lyle can be choosy about dog friends, especially male dogs, but we can help with a proper introduction. He will need a solid fence, because he is pretty talented at locating the slightest openings to make his escape. And, if you ask him, he much prefers a yard to that wacky leash contraption.
Asha is a stunning 12 month German Shepherd mix who absolutely loves her people and adores kids! She is so sweet and gentle. Asha walks well on a leash and knows come, sit, down and stay. She lets you know when she needs to go outside but you must be paying attention. She is working on her crate training, too, and she's a fast learner so we're sure she'll have that figured out in no time!
She loves playing with her foster fur brother and sister and will curl up on the couch next to you after play or curl up by your feet in bed at nighttime. What a polite lady she is!
Do you have some jobs that need doing at your place? Help is on the way, and his name is Allen!
Allen is an 8-month-old Heeler/Australian Shepherd mix who weighs 43 lbs., and he'll grow only a little more. He has the spirit and probably all the tools to help you with your jobs. If you happen to run low on supplies, he'd be happy to make that Home Depot trip with you, too. He's full service like that -- he likes to go to stores and meet people.
* Need that fence perimeter checked? Send Allen out, and he'll speed around it for you to make sure everything's in place.
* Want to see if your family is present and accounted for? Allen will go find them all
* Wondering if there might be a squirrel or rabbit anywhere within 100 yards? Put Allen on lookout duty
* Have another dog or two (or maybe a cat) who need to get their exercise? Allen would be happy to play with any and all of them!
Allen is an energetic, happy pup who loves a dog park outing once all his jobs are done around the house. He'll keep you moving and impress you with his smarts. He is house trained and crate trained and ready to get to work.

Picture this: Cozy evenings at home on your favorite couch with a caring, loyal companion at your side (she also happens to be stunningly beautiful, by the way). Peace and quiet, and perfect comfort.
How does that sound? LeeLee hopes that is your idea of a good time, because it's also hers. She is a gorgeous 2-year-old girl who is looking for company and consistency in a relaxed home.
Don't get her wrong, she does great with other dogs and cats, and she makes her own fun playing and horsing around. She just wants to be able to count on you to keep things chill so she can feel protected from the crazy world. Like how we feel when we turn off the news or stop doom-scrolling, amiright?
Dexter is around 2.5 yrs old and weighs about 70 pounds, but definitely a trim 70. He tries to be in tip top shape! He is a bit shy when he first meets people, but if you're nice to him and maybe give him some treats (subtle, right?), he'll love you BIG time! Sometimes he thinks men can be particularly scary to meet, but he's really drawn to them once he realizes they are kind. And that they have treats. Treats help a ton!
Dexter really is the sweetest, silliest boy. In fact, despite his size, Dexter strongly believes that your lap is his lap and will happily join you for a big slobbery kiss.
Do you have another canine family member? Dexter has done great with small dogs and we think he can live with bigger dogs, too, but will need a slow and appropriate introduction to any doggy siblings. Because Dexter can be a bit shy, a low-activity, adult-only home (or a low-activity home with older kids) would be best for him. He'd also like a home without cats. He really just doesn't understand those creatures.
Dexter is an athletic sort of pooch and needs a 6-foot privacy fence because he can be a little bit of an escape artist. He loves to play fetch with a ball , so keeping Dexter and his human(s) entertained is easy peasy. He's super treat motivated, too. (In case you haven't gotten the hint, the way to Dexter's heart is definitely through his stomach - and his stomach loves treats!)
Prudence is a 13-year-old Chow mix who we nursed back to health, after she came to us with horrible skin and ear infections. Her perfect life would be where she can have a very comfortable bed to lay around in all day. To be an only dog would make the rest of her days amazing, otherwise, mellow dogs would be best. She enjoys short walks, sunbathing, and giving sweet, sweet kisses. Minimal stairs are ideal for her.
She gets along with kids and adults but needs a slow introduction to other dogs. How she does with cats is unknown. She kennels well but doesn't necessarily need to be kenneled. She hasn't chewed anything, scratched anything, and is potty trained.
Rose (F), Enzo (M), Damon (M) and Alaric (M) are 2-month-old cuties with perfect puppy-dog eyes to die for! We don’t know their mix, but Mama is on the smaller side, so they may be 35-40 lbs.
They are named after vampires and vampire allies, but don’t worry, they aren’t nocturnal and know how to sleep at night. They are each their own little show, so you won’t even wanna turn on the TV when they’re around! These kids are playful, curious and cute and definitely light up the room. They are starting their potty training and some basic commands.
Calvin is a 3-month-old pittie mix with an eye patch and mismatched ears that will neverendingly slay you with their cuteness. He is a laid-back boy who likes to play and have fun, but he especially likes to snuggle. He’ll probably be a 50-60 lb. medium-sized dog.
Pitties are known for being fun-loving, gentle and patient, and they make wonderful family pets. Calvin will be the absolute best boy, as part of your family!
Meet Gojo, a 2-year-old Dachshund with the most beautiful dapple coat! Gojo loves kids, adults, and is super dog friendly! He is super loving and cuddly and oh so handsome. Gojo isn’t quite sure about cats and thinks they are something he is supposed to chase so probably a cat-free home would be best for him.
Gojo is completely house broken but is not a fan of being kenneled; he’d rather be with his person! His original owner passed away suddenly (poor little guy) and he’s on the hunt for a new home where kennel time would be limited rather than constant.
This pretty little mama is Liz, and she doesn't know it, but she is about to blow this popsicle stand and have a chance to be her own lovely self, after raising her babies.
Liz is about 3 years old and weighs about 40 lbs. She has beautiful brown eyes that are as round as saucers - you can feel her looking right into your soul and trusting you. She is a sweet girl who doesn't cause much of a fuss about anything and rarely barks. She is not a big chewer, on anything around the house. She is treat motivated and wants to learn how you want her to be - point her that direction with a treat, and you're on!
Liz gets along well with people and dogs, but tells cats a big ol' "nope". She likes to run and play and is catching on to this life of freedom of being her own dog.
Finding that right balance of energy is the key to a happy puppy. Felix here has it worked out. He uses part of his energy to play and be vocal to tell you what is up. And he uses the rest of his energy to be wherever his people are - he's really curious: Where are you going, and exactly what are you doing?
Felix is a 3-month-old pittie mix who will probably be a wonderful medium 50-60 lbs. Pitties are just about always the cutest puppies, and look at Felix's handsome face and - look closer - that ever-so-slightly freckled nose. He's really soft, and that short coat will need to be kept warm in the winter, so bring on the sweaters and/or sports jerseys for Felix. Make sure you send us pics of him in those - he's gonna look so, so cute, er, tough, we mean tough, grrr!
"And so I'm offering this simple phrase, to kids from 1 to 92: Pretty Sabra is for you!"
That's maybe not exactly how the song goes - but it should! Sabra is a 5-year-old girl who is cute as a speckled pup. She's a 65-lb. pittie/Heeler mix who truly gets along with everyone who is 1 to 92, and maybe even beyond.
Sabra is a mama extraordinaire who has reared her 11 puppies in rescue and is now ready for her forever. She knows basic commands, walks amazing on a leash and is just the best dog.
🤗🤗🤗 Hugging is the most beautiful form of communication. It lets the other person know how deeply you care, without words. This dog hugs like no other I have ever met in my life. 😍🥰😍
Suki is a 4-year-old, 50-lb. Siberian Husky who has the most gorgeous crystal blue eyes that seem to look into your soul. She just wants to soak up your love and attention, and she will return it in kind.
She is eager to learn and is treat motivated for everything you want to teach her. She is affectionate with everyone and is dog friendly. A smart, pretty girl who gets along with all the people and dogs, plus gives extra loves – she’s the complete fluffy package!
Let's play ball!
Ball? Ball?! Who said "ball?
Laffy is all in for ball. Do you have a throwing arm that needs some flexing? And a lonely ball or three laying about waiting for someone to play?
1-year-old Laffy, a Viszla/pittie mix should be your new buddy. He loves to play ball SO MUCH, but he also knows his best manners. He sits politely while waiting for you to throw - and you should see the most earnest look he gets while he waits, gahhh those eyes. In between throws and chases, he drops the ball willingly, and even knows how to give high fives and to shake.
He is a such a great guy who is friendly with people (even when they don't have a ball!) and dogs. And we haven't even talked about that beautiful Viszla coat and coloring he has.
Laffy is the full package of fun and energy and smarts. Everything is livelier and happier when you have Laffy around. He's house trained and crate trained, and he's ready to learn even more tricks.
Harlow is a wonderful 1 ½ year old German Shepherd who is full of potential and looking for her furever home!
Harlow didn't have the best start in life and was used to breed before being turned over to rescue. She was very scared and timid and super skinny and sad. But, in just a few weeks Harlow has put on weight and really come out of her shell to be a much more confident and happier girl. She still has a way to go in being her best self and needs a human buddy to keep showing her the way! She is very smart and food-motivated and is super fun to train & work with. Harlow is a high energy girl who loves to rough house with the other big dogs in her foster home and is always eager for attention.
Harlow is kennel trained and is working hard on potty training; she still has the occasional accident as we work to break her bad habits. This beautiful girl is going to make the best companion and can't wait to start her forever with her new family!
Hello there! My name is Minnow and I'm one of the boys from the ‘Gone Fishing’ litter. I’m just about 9 weeks old now and I’ve got some awesome breeds mixed in me! Can you guess the breeds?? I say cuteness but my foster mommy says that's not a breed. Pffft. So, I guess I gotta admit my DNA test says we have 13 breeds in us, but the top 5 are: Australian Cattle Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Pit Bull Terrier, Border Collie and Labrador Retriever. Like I said 'cuteness!’ Am I right?!
Now the best part! I sleep super well in my kennel at night (I know sleep is important for the big people). I'm learning to potty train (patience is a virtue, ya know) and I'm super treat motivated & I LOVE my toys. My foster mom is trying to teach me some basic commands like sit and lay and shake and I'm doing pretty good, I think, seeing as how I'm still a beginner!
Why should you adopt an adult dog instead of a puppy? Because of good girls like Ebony, right here.
Ebony is a 3-year-old Husky who still needs to gain a little weight and get up to 50 lbs. She knows sit and shake, plus some other basic commands, and she walks great on a leash and does well on car rides. She gets along great with people, including kids, and is good with other dogs and with adult cats. Ebony is a sweet girl around the house, and she doesn’t get into anything that isn’t hers, even when left unsupervised.
See what we mean? She is ticking all your boxes, isn’t she?
Unusual for a Husky, Ebony would rather be on the couch than spend a long time outside. Yes, Husky fans, you read that right. Also, she doesn’t do a lot with toys, but she sure loves treats!
Ebony is spayed, house trained and crate trained. She really needs the companionship of another dog to be at her best, and at least a 5-foot fence would be ideal.
Brindle beauty, Kanga, would like to stick her nose in your toy box. Do you have some good choices in there? She'd like to grab a toy, plop herself on the couch, and see what that toy is all about. Sounds like a good way to spend an evening, don't you think?
Kanga is a 2-year-old, 60-lb. lady who is a little shy, but she wants to be forever your girl. After finding a toy or maybe taking a spin around your yard, she'll start warming up. And it won't be long until she'll be hanging out with you and following you to see what you're up to. Her goofball side will emerge after not too long, and you'll see Kanga for who she is: a good girl who is easy to love. She gets along with cats and with dogs of a similar temperament.
Big Mac and T-Bone are still looking for their forever families!
Big Mac is the largest of the two and don’t let his resting sad boy face fool you, he is a very happy boy! His favorite hobbies include sitting on your feet, giving lots of kisses, and catching ice to bat around. (The ice thing entertains him for hours!)
T-Bone is the runt of the litter and a chatty boy!! His favorite hobbies include telling you about his toys with a “woo woo”, cuddling with stuffed animals, and stealing Big Mac’s ice.
Big Mac and T-Bone are 2-month-old pittie mixes who will be around 40-50 lbs. when they are big boys. These boys are total love machines!
She's not an ordinary lady
Definitely not an ordinary girl
I can't believe the way she's changed me
Her shining light has brightened up my world
Whoa yeah, brightened up my world
This is no ordinary lady here! LadyBird lives to snuggle and protect. This amazing girl is a 6-year-old black lab who likes to go for walks as much as she likes to cuddle under the blankets.
LadyBird is also a good guard dog for her house, and she can be trusted to roam the house freely when you're not home. Want a shotgun companion? LadyBird loves to go for car rides!
LadyBird needs to work on politely sharing her dining space with others, and she tends to be bossy with other female dogs. She loves her people and will do just about anything for their pets, snuggles and lovins.
Halloween Safety Tips Recap!
🍬TRICK OR TREAT! We love this time of year! Spooky scaries, adorable costumes, delicious treats! Unfortunately, as with some of our other favorite holidays such as 4th of July, Halloween can present a potential hazard to our furry family members. The good news is that there are ways you can make the holiday safer and more pleasant for your fur baby so the day can be no tricks, all treats!
🚪FRONT DOOR AWARENESS! —First and foremost, you should make sure you have a plan in place for preventing your furry family member from darting out of the door when trick-or-treaters arrive. Keep them in a separate room, let them play in an X pen or their crate, or put up a gate at the front door. An open front door can be inviting for our escape artists and the stress of all the unknown people and loud noises can cause our more anxious family members to want to escape.
🔖 TAG/MICROCHIP! —If you don’t have your pet microchipped, now would be a great time to do it! This ensures that if your furry friend DOES escape, that they will be able to be returned to you. At a bare minimum, make sure that they have some form of identification such as collar/tag with contact information on it.
🍭TREAT/CANDY SAFETY! —Everybody loves chocolate, right?! Unfortunately, though, this delicious treat is not safe for our 4 (or 3) legged friends. Dogs are creative. They can be sneaky and quick when there is something they want. So, even though all your treats are in their wrappers, that doesn’t prevent Fido from demolishing that Reese’s pumpkin. In addition to chocolate, raisins, gum, and other candies all have ingredients that can be toxic to our pups. Be sure that all these treats are always kept out of reach from your doggos, and if they can’t be kept out of reach, make sure they are being monitored closely by a responsible hooman.
🔦 CANDLES, BATTERIES, AND GLOW STICKS; OH MY! —Because this holiday is largely celebrated at dusk/dark, that means lots of alternative light sources such as candles and battery-operated lights. While we love these things, they can pose a potential hazard to a curious nose or wagging tail. Try to make sure that all lit candles, battery-operated things, and glow sticks are kept out of Marley’s reach! Curiosity doesn’t just kill the cat.
🏋️♀️ LIGHT AS A FEATHER…—Ok, we mean a different kind of light here, but we couldn’t resist the reference. If possible, try to let your dog out to potty or take them on a walk while it is still light out. There can be a lot of hazardous items on the ground on Halloween, and it is difficult to ensure that your pupper isn’t ingesting those things when it is dark out. Additionally, all the kids, costumes, and tricksters out at nighttime can cause undue stress to your dog.

Keep that Addams Family theme song in your head. Only two members of the family are left: these cute cute boys, Pugsley and Gomez!
They are 3-month-old black Labrador Retriever mixes, and they are sweet as pumpkin pie 🥧 Both guys will probably grow up to be perfectly medium-sized dogs, and of course they have those floppy black lab ears and loving brown retriever eyes. Gomez and Pugsley love playtime, snuggles and kisses, and each one will be a terrific new family member.
They are doing great at potty training and crate training already, and they are neutered,
Don't bother buying once of those fancy schmancy mattresses--Dexter will give you the ins and outs of novel sleeping positions! We'd like to introduce you to Dexter! No, really, we want you to meet this derpy dude.
(In case you haven't gotten the hint, the way to Dexter's heart is definitely through his stomach - and his stomach loves treats!)
You know, big pups know how to snuggle with the best of them. That's one of the best things about owning a big breed. They make excellent cuddlers! These big pups aren't necessarily aware that they may weigh more than you do, so they take a seat right on your lap. That brings us to Leo!
Leo is a 100-lb. Great Dane/pittie mix who is about a year old. He is friendly with people (preferably those over 4 feet tall), crate trained and house trained. He gets along with dogs of a smaller size and is ok with cats. Leo will make himself comfortable on the couch with you. Throw him a stuffie, and he's right at home.
