With immense sadness, today we said goodbye to one of our former staff, Alex. While he was only with us at Takumen for a short time, Alex would come by often to eat and catch up or flirt with his wife (at the time girlfriend) Tomomi, who also worked at Takumen. Alex loved motorcycles and we all loved riding on his bike, after work billiards and getting drinks.

We’re proud to represent our head chef Natsu’s hometown of Beppu with this cold, refreshing dish. Enjoy our light soy broth with tangy housemate kimchi.
