How NOT to tune a flute…
This can happen when glue is old or absent, making it risky to fine tune by adjusting the crown (especially on flutes not properly or recently serviced).
It’s best to simply adjust tuning by moving the whole head joint in or out of the tenon.
And for fine tuning issues, definitely have a good tech look at your flute if you’re already exhausted exploring alternate fingers.
